Barry walked towards the hole. The sound from inside provides an endlessly ominous atmosphere. Barry activates Gravity Manipulation and creates a veil of gravity around his body.
Then he dropped into the hole.
Or actually, he floated to slowly descend into the hole. So that his feet do not make any noise that attracts attention when stepping on water.
What he saw was something he had expected. Inside the hole was a fairly large tunnel dug by something. The tunnel is not a city sewer line but something created by a creature that inhabits it.
And looking at the size of the tunnel, the creature that dug it was quite large.
Barry looked at his back and front. He saw movement in the water below him but nothing came to the surface.
The water also seems quite deep. If his group members enter here and not him, they will immediately be greeted by monsters ambushing from all directions.
That would be bad.
