The green liquid which was probably the blood of the Devourer Plant splashed in all directions as if suddenly some kind of great dam filled with green liquid had burst.
It splashed onto streets, buildings, monsters, and also the survivors around it.
Danny, Seraphina, and Elaine who were quite close were also hit by the green liquid. What compounded the situation was that the substance turned out to be viscous, akin to thick mucus, rather than a fluid.
