It was a low, rumbling noise that grew steadily louder. All of the shelter's residents turned. Their eyes widening as a portal shimmered into existence nearby, its edges crackling with ethereal energy. From it emerged Rynneth, the Dragonborn leader, followed by a contingent of his kin.
The Dragonborns were an awe-inspiring sight. Their scales glinted in the little remaining light of the day. Ranging in color from deep, shimmering blues to fiery reds and gleaming golds.
Rynneth, at the forefront, exuded an aura of commanding presence, his scales a rich emerald that seemed to pulse with latent power.
Rynneth stepped forward, his gaze meeting Martin who Barry said was the leader of the shelter who will greet him.
"We have come," he announced, his voice resonant and strong. "We can no longer fight in isolation. Our strength must be united with yours to protect those who cannot fight and to present a united front against the encroaching doom."
