Rynneth knew that nothing could persuade his soldiers – and himself – better than a display of strength. Because fundamentally, they were a race that valued strength, warriors through and through.
Rynneth could already sense the power within these humans because he possessed the Shard of Protection, which somehow allowed him to resonate with them much better than his soldiers. So he didn't doubt them at all.
He was grateful that Barry also understood what was happening and didn't waste any time. He immediately took action and showed that he was strong enough and worthy of being their ally as soon as he arrived at this place.
"Alright, now that this test is settled, we have to prepare for the monster army, right?" Barry said, looking at Rynneth and his soldiers.
"Right," Rynneth nodded. He looked at Barry and his friends and then said, "You seem calm."
