Barry and his friends could only watch from a distance with eyes sparkling with awe. Their faces displayed a mixture of admiration and fear. Of course, fear was included in those expressions because they were witnessing a one-sided slaughter.
Even though the enemy's ranks were far greater, it still appeared as a one-sided slaughter in their eyes. This depicted the sheer strength of the high-ranking Angels and Demons.
What was even more terrifying was that they were slaughtering their own subordinates who had previously fought alongside them and shared space with them in Eden and Hel. There was no sorrow visible on the faces of the Angels and Demons. It was as if they were not slaughtering their own kind but merely enemies.
Elaine shifted uncomfortably in her place, observing the sight. Barry noticed it.
"You don't have to watch it," Barry said. He didn't know if it would make her calmer or not. It looked like he was saying it to comfort himself.
