The others came to help Barry a moment later when they saw what was happening. Right now, Destruction was engulfed in immense rage towards these survivors who had caused him so much trouble that he didn't bother to deal with Aeon.
Destruction was sure that Aeon's soul wouldn't be able to do anything anymore. He considered the Elf as just his pawn, his slave, whom he freed from prison to serve him. He freed Aeon with his power, so that meant Aeon wouldn't be able to free himself from his control, no matter how hard he tried.
The battle continued. The black smoke emanating from Aeon's entire body contained a lot of Destruction's Mana, making it corrosive. Every time the survivors touched the black smoke or were splattered with Aeon's black blood, they suffered burns that emitted a hissing sound.
As minutes passed, their hope dwindled because they saw Destruction's power only growing stronger. So now, what should they do if they couldn't defeat him?
