There is nothing more comforting than seeing a glimmer of light, no matter how small it is, in the midst of this darkness. They all immediately increased their running tempo, while continuing to swing their weapons to kill all of the strange creatures that emerged from the darkness.
When they finally reached the light, it blinded them at first. But then they stepped on a place that was as strange as the darkness before.
The ground beneath their feet was dim white and dusty like a bunch of flour had been scattered all over the place.
Surprisingly, they can still breathe the air here. Though, the feeling is not the same as breathing air in the real world. It's like they're breathing something else that has the same function as air, keeping them alive, but not quite the same.
