Zigan and Hermes were still staring at each other. Zigan couldn't act carelessly because he still didn't know what he need to do.
Basically, Hermes is still a Celestial and he has extraordinary power. Even though Zigan himself felt that he was strong enough, he was still not sure he could win against him.
Hermes' status far exceeded his own, a fact Barry couldn't ignore. Any confrontation with Hermes would likely leave him gravely injured, even if he managed to prevail. Conversely, while he might inflict a significant blow on Hermes, the risk to his own life was equally daunting.
With these grim possibilities in mind, Zigan saw facing Hermes in combat as a desperate final option.
Hermes narrowed his eyes, as if he wanted to know what Zigan was thinking.
"Are you calculating your chances of defeating me?" Hermes asked.
