Jack knocked on the door of Barry's house, but there was no response from inside. Growing impatient, he pushed the door open and entered with his cronies.
They moved slowly, checking each room. But as they reached the living room, their hearts sank at the sight before them.
The room was empty. There's no sign of life from the mother and daughter. Jack's frustration getting bigger as he realized their target was nowhere to be found.
"Where are they?" one of his cronies whispered, his voice full of anxiety.
Jack clenched his fists, his mind racing with anger and despair. He had come too far to leave empty-handed, and he refused to return without achieving his goal.
"We'll search every inch of this place if we have to," Jack said. His voice full of determination. "They can't hide from us."
