Elaine explained what she heard from her father and mother about the rumors. Earlier, after talking briefly with Martin, she immediately met her mother in her room and talked for a while.
Her mother said that there was indeed a rumor circulating among the fighting force and also the people of the tent. What her mother heard was that Barry, her, and their friends were hiding a way to gain more strength.
Her mother said that Barry and his friends wanted to keep it for themselves so they could continue to be the strongest.
Barry was silent for a few moments to digest that.
'How did they know about that?'
"What should we do now?" Elaine asked. "Would it be better if we told them about the Power Core?"
"I don't think that's a good idea. You know the reason I hid this from the others. They could misuse this power if they found out about that," Barry said.
"But if it's not like this, they might resolve to violence!"
