Those monsters are relentless. The human survivors fought and killed them from morning until noon came.
As the sun reached its zenith, the horde of monsters began to dwindle in number compared to earlier. Yet, simultaneously, the count of combatants engaged in battle also dwindled.
Several people suffered minor injuries. Several others suffered quite serious injuries. Their groans of pain could be heard throughout the shelter.
The people inside the tents curled up inside and embraced each other under the cover of fear and resentment. When they were just busy hiding, the fighting force risked their lives to protect them.
Those tents people received resentful looks from the families of those who fought in the frontlines. Why should their families who must risk their lives protect these people too? They wonder inside their hearts.
