"Please, take a seat," Alpha Eliot finally said, and each of them mustered up a smile that even the blind could detect through their clenched teeth and hurried breaths that it was clearly fake.

Xavier led the way, and I followed suit, slowly settling into the chair beside me. He held my hand affectionately, refusing to let go, and in that moment, I couldn't help but wonder how we would manage to eat with both of our hands interwined this way.

Egro couldn't conceal her disgust at the sight of us. She let out a frustrated sigh as her face wrinkled in disgust, and Xavier, being even more petty, flashed me a smile that I was too foolish to reciprocate.

Alpha Eliot cleared his throat, pausing for a moment as his eyes scanned my body. I quickly shifted my gaze away, wondering why he was staring at me.
