"Now I pronounce you husband and wife,"Gyon said.
And with that the couple snapped from their trance.
Neya could not believe it. Had she really got married. Or was she just in a dream? "Husband and wife"those three words kept on ringing in her mind. Never in her life did she ever think that she would be the the wife of somebody. The man who was now standing right infront of her was now her husband. Her husband. Neya continued looking at Nahor. She had never seen him before.All the people who were in the were all new to her. She only hoped that now that she was married that they would at least be nice to her. She did not know know whether they would treat her nicely. She did not know what kind of people they were. But she knew that within the time that she would spend there. She would get to know. If anyone was going to be rude to her. She was not going to tolerate it. She was going to stand up for herself and fight. She would not let anyone take advantage of her.
Then Nahor said to Neya,"We finally meet I have been waiting long to see you my wife," he whispered to her
Neya felt her heart almost skip a beat when she heard his voice. His voice was cold. His voice was emotionless. The very sound of his voice brought shivers to her body. Even though he only whispered she was already scared of him just by the sound of his voice.
"He just called me his wife. Did he really want to get married to me? Is he really a nice person ?"she asked herself.
As he was still speaking Jordan came and interrupted him.
" You will speak later. It is time to celebrate"Jordan said as led the two to the dining hall.
It had been so beautifully decorated. With the huge shandilier that produced a beautiful light that lit the whole place.
And the beautiful red roses that were placed in every corner and window giving the place a nice smell.
The food and all kinds of delicacies that were on the long table. Everything was so perfect. Everyone could not wait eat because of the tasty smell the food was producing. But what about the wedding cake. The wedding cake is the most important thing after the wedding. Let's not forget about it.
The cake was made so stylishly and beautifully. With all the decorations on it that just made it perfect.The cake was four layered. It was covered with pure white icing. It had been decorated with big white icing that had been made into the shape of white roses. And on top of the cake stood the beautiful molded icing couple holding each other.They seemed to be dancing. And at the bottom of the cake lay the beautiful icing that was inform of snow flakes.
Wow. Everything was so perfect. But the most perfect thing was the married couplethat looked perfect together. Oh how everyone present wished that they would remain happy for the rest of their lives.
Everyone who saw them together only gave them their blessings.
It was time for the dance and everyone gave room for the newly wed couple.
The musicians played a beautiful song and the couple danced heartily to it.
Nahor brought his arm forward indicating Neya to take it. Neya hesitated for a while but she finally put her hand into his. Nahor then pulled her closer to where he was and got grab of her waist. Neya twitched for a while but she stopped.
Neya was still trying to remain cool when she heard his voice
" This is no time to be lost in thought. Put your hands on my shoulders or else you will lose your balance and fall. I believe you would not like that to happen on such a nice day like this, would you?"Nahor said as looked at Neya.
They danced and twirled around until Neya was starting to feel tired,"Do not let go until the music stops. "Nahor said as if he was warning her.
Everyone complimented at how a perfect couple they were. Their dance was so glamorous. They never thought that Neya would dance so well but it seemed like they had underestimated her.
Everyone had so much joy that it could clearly be seen on their faces . They had been so caught up with their joy that they had not noticed that neither Nahor nor Neya had not smiled since the wedding began.
Why would they smile. All of them were not sure whether they had done the right thing.
The music stopped and it was time to cut the cake. So the couple moved towards the table where the cake was placed. A long knife was given to the couple and they held it together and cut the cake.
Immediately they cut the cake, everyone clapped in joy and started singing.
Then the maidservants brought another knife and started cutting the cake into pieces. They placed the pieces for the couple on a separate plate and handed it to Neya.
Neya hesitated but she fed Nahor a piece of cake and Nahor did the same.
After that Nahor just left and went out . Everyone was shocked. Then Jordan said"The wedding is now over.Now all of you can go to your respective places.
So everyone left the dining room one by one.
Neya was left with Jordan in the room.
Jordan said "Congrats you have fulfilled half part of your deal. So he brought out his hand for a handshake but Neya didn't take it.
Why would she. She still felt like he was a complete stranger to him. But Jordan did not take it negatively. Because he knew that she was still taking it all in.
Jordan pulled back his hand and said," It's okay. You have just met me but I want to assure you of one thing.You don't have to be afraid of me.
Now you're my sister in law and I will have to take care of you. If you ever need anything I am always available.
With those words he left Neya standing there in confusion.
Neya was not really sure whether she would trust him or not. Even though he seemed so nice on the outside she could not be sure if it was the same in the inside.
She then recalled what he said to her. He would take care of her and always be there for her. What did he mean by that. She did not know whether he was telling the truth or not but she knew she could not trust anyone. Not yet.
