Thomas Wilson
I don't know why I came here… Why did I stand in front of the door that I was not supposed to stand in front of?
Why did I come here?! Why did I drag myself here impulsively?
I knocked on the door subconsciously unaware and a young lady opened the door. I stared at her shocked as she frowned at me. She looks just like her… She had the same eyes, the same nose, the same everything in her face as her.
"Uhm… Hello?" she spoke, giving me a disgusted confused expression that said who the hell are you?.
"Hello, I'm Thomas Wilson." I let out, extending my hand to shake hers.
She scowled at me and I could see flames of hatred in her eyes. She stared at me up and down before she slammed the door in my face. I stood at the door dazed by how she reacted. I couldn't process the interaction I had.
"Wow! That was…interesting." I told myself still shocked.
"Lethabo! Don't slam my doors like that!" I hear Mrs Ndlovu's voice shout.
"Sorry mom! But there was a meretricious shit bug at the door so I chased it away!" a voice shouts loud enough for me to hear.
It was the voice of the girl who had opened the door for me and closed it in my face.
"What?" Mrs Ndlovu questions, confused.
"Nothing! It's nothing!" the girl responded loudly .
I sigh and knock on the door again. This time it's Mrs Ndlovu that opens the door.
"Thomas!" she lets out happily.
"Good Evening Mrs Ndlovu." I replied smiling.
"Please come in." she tells me making way for me to enter.
"Thank you Mrs Ndlovu. Oh! I brought flowers for you." I spoke as I offered her the flowers.
"Oh my, Thank you so much dear." she responds, smiling at the daisies.
"You head to the living room." she tells me, gesturing for me to go to the living room.
I nod and I walked to the living room. I see the girl who slammed the door sitting on a couch in the corner, reading a book. She turns and frowns in disgust when she sees me.
"MA! A MERETRICIOUS SHIT BUG IS IN THE HOUSE!" She exclaimed annoyed as she left the living room, shuddering as though I was the scariest disgusting thing she had seen in her entire life.
I would be lying if I said it didn't hurt me how she treated me. It made me wonder why she detested me? I sighed and I rubbed the thought away as I sit down on the couch.
"I'm so sorry about that. Lethabo is just…"
"It's okay." I interrupted her giving her an assured smile.
She smiled back at me and sat across from me as she put down the tray with tea on it.
"How is Mmakwena?" she asked me.
"Mmakwena is a bit stressed about the case but she's fine." I answered.
"She was also in a accident but she is okay now." I added as I remembered the accident.
"That's good, she was not hurt badly." She responded as she gave me a cup of tea.
"Thank you, Mrs Ndlovu." I let out while drinking the tea.
There was complete silence as we sat there drinking tea. The silence made me look around and the living room was filled with blank canvas' that hid the ugly painted walls in the living room...
"I can't believe that it has been ten years since I last saw you. I really thought you and Mmakwena would get married." Mrs Ndlovu let out, before sighing.
"I thought so too." I replied softly before smiling.
"Sure you did." The girl from earlier spat as she entered.
"Lethabo!" Mrs Ndlovu shouts in a stern tone.
"I don't like you and I'll never forgive you!" Lethabo shouts as she kicked my legs.
I bit my lip to not groan in pain and she stormed out. Mrs Ndlovu ran after her and I decided to leave before anything else happened.
"Apologize!" Mrs Ndlovu ordered Lethabo.
"No! He hurt Mmakwena and he deserved it! If Thalia saw him right now she would kick him into azoospermia!" she stated before running away.
"Mrs Ndlovu, I think I will leave no." I let out scratching my neck looking at Mrs Ndlovu smiling.
"I'm so sorry, You didn't even get to meet my other daughter." she informed me sighing.
It's okay, maybe another time." I tell her as I smiled as I get into my car.
I waved goodbye as I drove away.
Why does she hate me? I don't even know her. I shake my head as I continue driving. As I'm driving I see Lethabo sitting on a bench. It's Seven pm.

'Go see if she's okay!' the little voice ordered in my head.
I contemplate it before I stop and get out of my car.
"You know it's not safe here?" I said walking towards her.
"Stop talking nonsense and drive away." She snaps as she glances at me before looking at the tree across the street.
"Why do you dislike me?" I ask her.
She stares at me in disgust before looking away.
"I mean you don't even know me and I have never met you in my entire life," I added as I sat on the bench with her.
"You broke Mmakwena's hard and she needed you but you were a meretricious scumbag," she sneered as she answered me.
"Do you Know the time you broke up with her, her father was dying and when he passed away she had no one to lean on because you broke her hard!" she shouts angrily.
"And do you know her mother, our mother married our father a week after her father's death!" She said crying.
I stared at her shocked because I never knew this. She never told me anything. She never told me her father was sick!
"How do…How do you know this?" I asked her.
"I read her dairy," she answers softly.
"You read her diary?" I asked, dazed.
"Yeah, " She whispered.
I could almost not hear her.
I can't believe Ana went through so much. Fuck! I want to die! I look at Lethabo and I sigh.
"Where's her Diary?" I asked.
