Copy chuckled under his breath, casually adjusting his Fedora with a flick of his hand before letting out a sigh. Despite being much stronger, he found himself hoping for the smooth execution of the original plan, wishing to avoid any unnecessary fighting. Copy approached Eve, a smirk on his lips as he started twirling his butterfly knife between his fingers. With a flick of his wrist, he spun the blade in a dance, the blade catching the light as he got closer. Each twirl seemed to exude an air of cocky confidence, his movements almost taunting .
Copy's smirk widened as he spoke, his tone casual. "Ah, you know, I kinda wish we could've skipped all this. I mean, I'm all for peace and harmony, you know?" His smirk remained in place, his declaration was anything but genuine.
"But no, you guys have to make it difficult," Copy sighed. With a shake of his head, he continued, "I guess some people just can't resist stirring up trouble."
Eve unleashed a barrage of wind bullets towards Copy, he used his butterfly knife to block some shots while dodging the rest with serpent like movements. The bullets whizzed past him, their forceful gusts sending ripples through the air as Copy maneuvered through the bullets. Despite the intensity of the moment, Copy remained calm and collected.
"Hey now, that wasn't very nice. We haven't even officially started the fight," Copy remarked.
However, Copy was only met with silence as Eve's crimson eyes bore into him like daggers. Her gaze conveying a clear message: the time for words had passed, and now only action would suffice.
"How boring," Copy remarked with a dismissive wave of his hand, his smirk widening as he continued, "Well, I'll have you know this. You're an anomaly that shouldn't exist, a disgrace to nature itself." With a deliberate pause, he slightly opened his eyes, revealing his serpent like pupils.
Without warning, using her Ornament, a massive gust of wind pushed Eve forward with great speed, sending her towards Copy with large momentum.
With sparks flying around her, Eve lunged forward with a electrified kick, her momentum driving the attack with unstoppable force. Yet, Copy's reflexes were razor sharp as he smoothly dodged the incoming blow. Just as he poised himself for a counter attack, a split second idea came to Eve's mind. Using the power of the wind, she twisted her body in midair with manipulation of the currents, spinning like a cyclone. She completed the rotation, landing a powerful rolling kick squarely on Copy's chest, sending him reeling backwards with a grunt of surprise.
Eve wasted no time in pressing her advantage. As Copy staggered back from the impact of her electrified kick, she unleashed a barrage of wind bullets at point blank range. Each gust erupted from her outstretched hand. Simultaneously, Eve used the wind to lift herself into the air. The wind ascended her quickly, her movements fluid.
As Eve's barrage of wind bullets rained down upon him, Copy's eyes narrowed and he used "Boomslang," firing forth the projectile made of void energy. The serpentine projectile shot forth, intercepting Eve's wind bullets with ease. With the wind bullets neutralized, Copy shifted his focus to Eve, his gaze locking onto her.
As Eve unleashed crackling bolts of lightning at Copy, he sprang into action, his movements a blur as he dodged each electrified projectile with practiced agility. However, amidst the flurry of lightning, Copy failed to notice the subtle shift in the air around Eve.
Unbeknownst to him, wind began to spiral around Eve's legs, swirling upwards with increasing intensity until it reached her knees. The currents of air coiled around her like a living vortex, their unseen force growing stronger with each passing moment as she continued to focus her energy on the impending clash.
Eve fired bolts of lightning at Copy, he dodged each electrified projectile with ease. However, Copy failed to notice the subtle shift in the air around Eve. Unknown to him, wind began to spiral around Eve's legs, swirling upwards with increasing intensity until it reached her knees. The currents of air coiled around her like a living vortex, the wind growing stronger with each passing moment as she continued to focus her energy.
As Copy dodged the last lightning bolt, he suddenly sensed a shift in the air above him. Without warning, Eve descended upon him with a powerful drop kick, her entire body propelled downwards with the use of her Ornament. But this was no ordinary kick, it was empowered with the raw power of the wind, which coiled around her leg like a swirling vortex, spiraling with increasing intensity as she descended. The currents of air whirled around her legs like a cyclone. With each rotation of the wind drill, the gusts howled and roared, as Eve's foot hurtled towards its target.
With a confident smirk, Copy intercepted Eve's descending kick, his hand grabbing the wind drill with apparent ease. However, this was a bad idea as he felt the violent force of the wind drill tearing at his grasp, its spiraling gusts shredding his hand like sandpaper. Without hesitation, he hurled Eve away with all his strength.
Copy nonchalantly examined his hand, his facade of human skin now torn away, partially revealing his shadow form. The shredded remnants of his palm fluttered away like dissipating void energy.
With a smirk, Copy couldn't help but comment on his own carelessness. "I really should think before acting, huh?" he said aloud . "But no more acrobatics for you. I can't jump that high, you know."
As void energy surrounded his hands, Copy wasted no time, "Mole viper!" he exclaimed, and horde of snakes made of void energy emerged from the ground, as they slithered towards Eve and binded her to the ground. With each passing moment, more of these snakes joined in, their collective efforts tightly bind Eve to the ground. The void energy pulsed, its grip on her growing tighter with each passing second.
Eve's wind drill whirled around her legs, its razor sharp gusts tore through the snakes with ease, their void energy forms crumbling like twigs. Yet, despite that, the relentless serpents were replenishing faster than the drill could destroy them. Eve tested the limits of her binds, she lifted her legs off the ground, though unable to fully break free from the grasp of the void snakes, she discovered that she could still manage to deliver kicks.
"Hmm, I'm running low on mana," Eve murmured, as she felt the depletion of her mana reserves.
Eve knew she had to take a more aggressive approach to quickly finish the battle. She used the wind drills as a source of momentum to propel herself forward. As the wind drills whirled around her legs, their force became a driving force behind her swift rush towards Copy. The gusts of wind propelling her like a living cyclone.
Eve conjured a wind sphere and launched it towards Copy, aiming to create a distraction, however, Copy effortlessly deflected the wind sphere with a dismissive flick of his hand.
Eve anticipated that Copy would counter attack and as Copy's blade threatened to strike, she directed a powerful gust downwards, exerting tremendous pressure that forced Copy to his knees.
Unfazed by the wind she had unleashed, Eve remained unaffected, her mastery over the wind allowing her to withstand the pressure. Having practiced and trained under those conditions, she remained in full control of her own movements.
With a release of the pressure from her wind manipulation, Eve took the opportunity to take advantage of Copy's temporary vulnerability. She unleashed a powerful kick aimed squarely at Copy's chin, the impact of which jolted him back to his feet. As Copy struggled to regain his balance from Eve's kick, he became more aware of the effects of her wind drills. The swirling vortexes, inflicting significant passive damage with even the slightest brush against his skin.
Refusing to give Copy a moment of respite, Eve delivered a series of rapid kicks, each blow delivered with precision and ferocity. With each strike, her foot connected, sending shockwaves through Copy's body. As the barrage continued, the wind drills surrounding Eve's legs added to the damage, their swirling vortexes tearing at Copy's facade of human skin with each touch.
Eve redirected the swirling wind drills from her legs to her arms. She launched the swirling vortexes towards Copy, their razor-sharp gusts honing in on the x-shaped wound on his chest. As the wind drills hurtled towards their target, their force intensified, tearing through the air.
Caught in the direct path of Eve's attack, Copy found himself unable to evade the oncoming storm of the wind drills. Copy braced himself and he felt the full force of their impact as they began to drill into his chest; sending shockwaves rippling through his body.
Copy's smirk widened as he admitted, "Ah, I got a bit too careless," he chuckled, "Next time, I'll play it safe." He reached out to grab hold of the swirling wind drills.
"What do you mean, 'next time'?" Eve said as she stood from behind the wind drills, her eyes narrowed, she raised her arm, and the air around it began to twist, taking the form of a whirling bonesaw blade.
"This is it..." With a snap of her fingers, Eve dispersed the wind drills, watching as they dissolved into the air around them. Without a moment's hesitation, she thrust the whirling blade formed around her arm, she drove the blade into Copy's already injured chest.
Eve pushed with all her might, driving the whirling blade through Copy's chest until it emerged from his back. Yet, to her surprise, she found her arm passing through empty space, as if Copy's body were nothing more than a hollow shell.
With a smirk on his lips, Copy observed Eve's expression. "Surprised, are you?" he taunted, "I did mention I'm not a Forbidden," as he grabbed Eve's arm, tightened his grip on Eve's arm his fingers digging into her.
"And it looks like you're practically out of mana," Copy remarked. "No more running away," he said, bringing his butterfly knife close to her neck.
However, without warning, both of Copy's arms were sliced off by a sharp arc of blood. His facade of human arms were replaced by his shadow form arms.
Eve was forcefully dragged away from Copy, her body propelled by a crimson tide of blood that surged around her, carrying her away.
"That was a close call, lass," Forbidden Blood said as he took charge of the battle. "You've done well, but now it's time to check on that boyfriend of yours," he advised. "I've already taken care of removing the poison from him."
"R-right, thank you, Blood. You aren't half bad after all," Eve acknowledged with a grateful nod, and ran towards Vulcan.
Forbidden Blood grinned, "Ah, a backhanded compliment," he chuckled softly. "Well, I'll take it nonetheless."
"Now, let's see what you're made of, ya bloody wanker," Forbidden Blood growled as he approached Copy.
"Ah, finally, boss, you're here..." Copy smirked.
"Boss? Wait one second, this feeling..." Forbidden Blood's voice trailed off as he suddenly sensed the overwhelming presence of void energy.
"Ah, sorry for my unsightly appearance, boss. But let's say, that they aren't so weak after all," Copy remarked casually.
Footsteps echoed, drawing closer with each step, coming from behind Copy.
"Oi, you're not serious, are you..?"
The silhouette soon came into the light, it was Mary...
