As I picked up the sword I couldn't help but realize that I had become crazy.
This familiar feeling this excitement, it felt like I had already experienced it.
Is that what people would call deja vu?
Being excited was one thing, but this familiar feeling....
It was as if I had stepped back into a dream, and every clash of steel, brought more clarity to it.
The weight of the iron sword in my hand, the taste of my own sweat, the burning ache in my muscles – it all felt strangely familiar.
Isabella's taunting voice sliced through the air, bringing me back to the present. "Come on, commoner, are you too scared to move."
Her words triggered a surge of determination within me. Maybe it was the insanity settling in, but I found myself grinning. The villagers watched, their initial disappointment now mixed with curiosity.
I lunged forward again, my movements more fluid, more controlled. It was as if my body knew what to do, as if I had danced this deadly dance before.
'F*ck I guess it's true that I am cazy'
Isabella's eyebrows furrowed, and for the first time, a hint of surprise flickered in her eyes. She parried my strike, but surprisingly, I wasn't caught off guard. No, it was more like I intended for her to parry my attack.
Using the momentum of her strike as a boost for a kick, I lunged my foot forward, aiming for her hand holding her sword.
But, as expected of a student of the glorious academy. She instinctively shifted her grip, avoiding my kick with a fast movement.
'Dammit I would have gotten her if my body was faster'
In comparison to me, she was not only stronger, but more so incredibly faster.
It was a miracle that I could even see or even anticipate her movements.
Despite the failed attempt, a strange sense of satisfaction washed over me. It wasn't just insanity; it was a defiance against the reality that confined me to the role of a common villager. No not even that, it was the feeling of fun, excitement, and this familiar feeling that fullfilled me.
" How..did..you do that?" Isabella's voice cut through the clash of our swords, her surprise evident.
"..."
" ANSWER ME COMMONER, HOW COULD YOU HAVE SEEN THROUGH MY MOVEMENT, WITHOUT THE USE OF MANA!!"
"..."
" YOU DARE, A DISGRACE LIK..."
*THUD*
I think im blacking out.
Looks like my body couldn't handly these movement...yet.
If only I could wield mana, I'm confident I would have.....
....won..
Darkness enveloped me, and the sounds of the clash faded into a distant echo. The last thing I heard was Isabella's frustrated voice before everything went silent.
