Chapter 24 - Yuan Hua

"How about ten thousand spirit stones for 30% of profit every month?" Fei Biyu offered with a proud expression.

"Ten thousand for a month?" Jun was left speechless.

'Shouldn't this girl start with a low price? Why is she giving out such a large price from the start?'

"Ahem! Thank you for thinking so highly of me. But, I am afraid that I won't be able to cooperate with you." Jun replied sternly.

Even he was tempted to accept the offer.

However, if he did so, the Silver Dragon Chamber of Commerce would be able to interfere with his business.

Also, Jun wanted to have 100% power over his business without anyone else's interference.

"What? Is it not enough? Do you want more spirit stones?" Fei Biyu frowned slightly.

She offered such a good price from the start, but this Shop Owner Jun was still unwilling.

"You have misunderstood my intentions, young lady. I am not trying to increase the price. It's just that I don't want anyone else to interfere with my business." Jun quickly explained.

Listening to Jun's opinion, Fei Biyu was a little disappointed.

Almost all of the shops would have a powerful force backing them up. To reject the offer from Fei Biyu was a stupid thing to do.

Not only would Jun lose a powerful backing, but he would also lose so many connections and resources that he could have gotten with the Silver Dragon Chamber of Commerce's help.

No matter what, Fei Biyu can't return empty-handed today, she will have to make a deal.

Otherwise, she will fail the first mission her father had given her.

"Shop Owner Jun, you should think carefully. Although Golden Moon Island is peaceful right now, this peace wouldn't last for long." Fei Biyu was unwilling to give up just like that.

"What do you mean?" Jun raised his eyebrows. Although there were still some robbers and bandits at Golden Moon Island, it was still a peaceful place compared to other places.

The reason behind this peaceful environment was the Immortal Order.

Golden Moon Island could be considered a special place just based on the fact that even an organization like Immortal Order managed it.

Looking at Jun's ignorant expression, she heaved a sigh of relief.

If Jun didn't know Golden Moon Island's current condition, then he would change his mind after learning about it.

"You are new here so may not know about it. The Golden Moon Island's location is very important to the forces of this world. Not only could this place act as an outpost to hunt the spirit beasts of Boundless Sea, but there's also a secret realm like Spirit Moon Cave here." She explained with enthusiasm.

"Some time ago, when this place acted independently, there were three great sects who started a battle just to take control over this place. The battle was so intense that even the Immortal Order had to interfere and take control of Golden Moon Island itself. Otherwise, they would have destroyed the Golden Moon Island itself." Fei Biyu shook her head dejectedly.

How could those dignified sects be so blind as to nearly destroy such a good place?

"Since then, no one with cultivation above Nascent Soul Realm is forbidden from stepping foot inside the Golden Moon Island and the island has been peaceful. However, recently the battle between Immortal Order and Abyssal Faction has intensified." She said with a sly smile.

"What has that..." Jun was about to say something when he realized what Fei Biyu meant.

The battle between the Immortal Order and Abyssal Faction has intensified! This means, that the Immortal Order would relocate most of its forces to the frontlines.

What would happen if the Immortal Order withdrew its forces from the Golden Moon Island?

"I understand what you want to say, but I will still refuse your offer." Jun shook his head.

He really didn't have any intentions of working with the Silver Dragon Chamber of Commerce.

If he accepted Fei Biyu's offer and accomplished something great in the future, then all of the credits would belong to Silver Dragon Camber of Commerce, not to Golden Phoenix Pavilion.

Fei Biyu looked disappointed. If possible she wanted to persuade Jun for a little bit more, but she knew that Jun wasn't going to accept the deal.

"If that's what you think, then I can't help it. There's still a year or two before Immortal Order would withdraw its forces. I hope you can make a decision by then. Our Silver Dragon Chamber of Commerce can definitely protect even if a big battle happens in the future." Fei Biyu said solemnly before taking her leave.

She had already tried her best, there's nothing more she could do.

"This is a bit problematic." Jun rubbed his chin in contemplation.

At this moment, a young man entered the shop.

From his outfit, he looked like a disciple of Artifact Forging Hall.

"I am Yuan Hua. May I ask if you have any plans to hire an Artifact Forging Apprentice?" The young man, Yuan Hua cupped his fist respectfully.

"Are you a Forging Apprentice?" Jun asked curiously.

Artifact Forging was a popular profession just like Alchemy, that many people could only dream of.

It wasn't that easy to become a Forging Apprentice. Since, it requires a lot of forging materials, techniques, experience, and talent.

"I am not a Forging Apprentice yet. But, I will surely become one in the future. Forget about Forging Apprentice, I am even able to become an Artifact Forging Grandmaster one day." Yuan Hua said proudly.

He was too confident in his abilities. It felt like he was 100% sure that he could become a Forging Grandmaster in the near future.

Jun didn't say anything and opened Yuan Hua's status panel.

[Name: Yuan Hua]

[Cultivation: Second stage Qi Condensation Realm]

[Insight: Average]

[Constitution: Bronze Physique]

[Technique: True Yang Cultivation Technique(Mortal grade low-level), Thousand Mountains Technique (Mortal grade low-level)]

[Spiritual Root: Fire Elemental(Mortal grade high-level)]

[Talent: Boasting (Inferior grade low-level)]

Jun wanted to laugh, but he still held himself back from laughing out loud. It would be too disrespectful of him if he mocked this poor kid.

Anyway, Jun wasn't all that much of a genius himself that he could make fun of others.

"For how many years has it been since you started forging?" Jun asked politely.

Yuan Hua puffed up his chest and replied. "12 years."

Jun really wanted to laugh now.

He had spent 12 years practicing but hadn't made any progress. Isn't this far worse than Ding Xue?

"Ahem! I don't think I can hire you now. Since I have no plans of hiring anyone yet." Jun politely declined Yuan Hua's offer.

"Eh! But, I heard you hired Ding Xue from Talisman Hall. Were those rumors fake?" Yuan Hua asked with a puzzled expression.

Get the hint, you idiot! I am just politely rejecting you! Jun cursed in his heart.
