Alexander looked at Alice, his eyes brimming with scorn.
"For money, of course. What else? You didn't really think I loved that foolish woman, did you?"
Alice's grip tightened around her Damascus steel longsword, sharp enough to decapitate the man before her.
Without any hesitation, she charged at Alexander, intent on ending his life.
"Roar!" Alexander let out a beastly howl as he leaped towards Alice in response.
"Clang!" The longsword clashed with Alexander's razor-sharp claws, emitting a grating noise.
Alan stood still, watching the two combatants lock in a fierce battle, his expression calm.
"Hey! Aren't you going to help?" Alice couldn't help but shout angrily.
Hearing this, Alan shrugged nonchalantly, smiling, "Didn't you see I'm injured?"
He pointed to his back, indicating his wound.
He had no intention of revealing his true strength prematurely, so he had allowed himself to get injured.
