Avalokiteshvara showed a look of fear.
Originally, its divine system's higher deity, the elephant-headed Ganesh, had a tense relationship with Alan.
Part of Alan's "wisdom" divine power was acquired from this 2-star god-tier divine beast's superior deity.
Now, witnessing the arrival of the Almighty God, Avalokiteshvara, not knowing Alan's intentions, instinctively wanted to keep a distance.
However, in an instant, it was immobilized by a beam of white light and then teleported in front of Alan.
Alan then gradually lowered his divine power.
Subsequently, the Beast Taming System panel before him changed.
[Avalokiteshvara]
[Species: Holy Elephant]
[Quality: Divine Beast]
[Combat Power: 2-star Divine Beast]
[Controllability: 80%]
Alan had now lowered his divine power to the level of a 2-star god-tier.
Even so, the controllability of this Holy Elephant had only dropped to 80%, reflecting its immense fear of Alan.
Additionally, Alan speculated that this fear might also stem from the Holy Elephant's awareness of his true strength, causing it to remain extremely fearful even as Alan lowered his divine power.
Or perhaps, the elephant was simply faint-hearted.
After confirming that he could easily tame it, Alan lost interest, dropped the elephant, and turned away, heading towards another location.
This was the dragon domain in the Divine Realm, the Dragon Palace!
In this place dwelled a multitude of dragon gods.
In fact, the most powerful among them, capable of contending with Alan, had fallen into a deep slumber after seizing some of the old gods' heritage in the previous divine wars.
Alan wasn't particularly concerned about this.
After all, as the Almighty God, he too yearned for worthy opponents, even if only for sparring or exchanging pointers.
Now, besides those dragon gods who had entered seclusion and deep slumber, the current ruler of the Dragon Palace was Fafnir.
Though a divine being of the beast kind, Fafnir was a formidable 9-star deity.
At that moment, Fafnir was meditating atop the Ancient Dragon in the Dragon Palace.
The next instant, Alan appeared outside the mist-shrouded Dragon Palace.
With a casual wave of his hand, he dispersed the mist and entered.
"The Almighty God, Alan, you have come!"
The Elemental Dragon God Fafnir suddenly awoke, his eyes fixed on Alan.
His massive draconic eyes betrayed a sense of wariness as he spoke in a deep tone.
At this moment, as the defeated, he didn't speak in the dragon tongue but in human language.
"Yes, I have," Alan replied calmly.
Hearing this, Fafnir asked, "What brings you here?"
"Could it be that you've come to fight me?"
Fafnir inquired with a hint of confusion.
Pausing for a moment, Alan replied, "That can wait."
He then observed Fafnir's stats as displayed on the Beast Taming System panel.
[Fafnir]
[Species: Elemental Ancient Dragon]
[Quality: Divine Beast]
[Combat Power: 9-star Divine Beast]
[Controllability: 0%]
Upon seeing the Elemental Dragon God, Fafnir's controllability at 0%, Alan breathed a sigh of relief.
Indeed, not all divine beasts were easily subdued.
The Dragon race, known for their proud and untamed nature, and this 9-star Elemental Dragon God in particular, were no exception.
And there were many such beings among the dragons.
"Fafnir," Alan began calmly. "Nine hundred years ago, your Despair Black Dragon God, Nidhogg, entered seclusion in your dragon race's forbidden land."
"Over these nine centuries, using treasures stolen from the old gods, he has been continuously cultivating. Now, he may have surpassed the 9-star level and is likely to challenge me when he emerges."
Alan spoke evenly.
"But for now, in the Dragon Palace, you are the leader, Fafnir."
Saying this, he stepped closer to the Elemental Dragon God, who in turn took a step back.
"Don't rush, hear me out. If the Despair Black Dragon God emerges, he may regard me as an enemy, but he will also vie with you for leadership of the dragons. Do you think that's a good thing?" Alan's words were heavy with implication.
Hearing this, a flicker of hesitation crossed the face of the Elemental Dragon God Fafnir, though his wariness remained.
"You see, if I, a god, were to confront him, I could suppress him, but it might cause some damage to our Divine Realm."
"But if you could assist me..."
At these words, the eyes of the Elemental Dragon God Fafnir narrowed, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
"Then you intend to suppress me and take over the Dragon Palace for yourself?" Fafnir spoke darkly.
Hearing this, Alan waved his hand dismissively and laughed.
"Hey, do you hear what you're saying, Fafnir!"
"You haven't forgotten our past sparrings, have you?"
"If it weren't for the fact that you're a peace-loving dragon god with certain leadership abilities, I wouldn't have let you become the leader of the dragon race's gods. Do you understand?" Alan said.
"If I were to move against the Dragon Palace, Nidhogg and those in seclusion wouldn't care about you. They would only emerge after you were all slaughtered."
"So, you should see the situation clearly. I'm giving you an opportunity here, you know?"
"If you can join me in defeating the Despair Black Dragon Nidhogg, your status within the dragon race could be elevated again. Do you understand that?" Alan inquired.
"Hmm..." Hearing this, the Elemental Dragon God Fafnir fell into deep thought.
Alan also felt somewhat helpless in his heart.
Truth be told, in dealing with the black dragon Nidhogg, his Beast Taming System might not be of much use.
The dragon race was inherently proud and unyielding, and the Despair Black Dragon was exceptionally powerful.
However, Alan wondered if there might be a chance to tame it after defeating and causing a decline in its divine power.
In any case, his Beast Taming System, being only a level 1 cheat, was already quite impressive among the cheats he had encountered.
But to say it could defy the heavens was not possible.
It could only tame those that were weaker or naturally more submissive.
The system provided only a certain degree of assistance.
"Alright, Almighty God Alan, but there's one thing you must promise me!"
"That is, within the Dragon Palace's forbidden area, you cannot take anything away other than Nidhogg!" Fafnir spoke earnestly.
Hearing this, Alan nodded.
"Alright, I promise. This time, I won't take anything extra."
Upon hearing Alan's promise, Fafnir nodded and then turned to look towards the center of the Dragon Palace behind him.
There lay a void rift.
Within it was the dragon race's Divine Realm forbidden area, the Tomb of the Fallen Dragons.
This place was exceedingly perilous, flickering with the light of stars from other dimensions.
Gods below the rank of 8-star would be torn apart by the terrifying rift forces here. Even 9-star deities dared not enter recklessly.
However, at this moment, the Elemental Dragon God Fafnir and Alan, both formidable beings, joined forces to venture within.
The dragon race's forbidden area was a special domain enveloped in a deathly aura.
Ordinary deities entering it would be entangled by this terrifying aura of death and wither away.
Yet, not all deities feared this power.
Apart from the Goddess of Death, who had not entered the Dragon Palace, now following the Despair Black Dragon God Nidhogg, Elemental Dragon God Fafnir and the Almighty God Alan ventured in together.
Around the Elemental Dragon God, various elemental forces erupted, transforming into myriad elemental forms, bizarre and dazzling, yet forming a barrier that kept the unique aura of the dragon race's forbidden land at bay.
Alan was similarly enveloped in divine light. This light successfully isolated the destructive power of the dragon race's forbidden area.
Soon, the two supreme deities began their search for their common target – the aura of the Despair Black Dragon God, Nidhogg.
Currently, there were no unusual fluctuations emanating from the forbidden area, suggesting Nidhogg had not yet fully awakened.
However, terrifying hissing sounds echoed through the void, followed by giant, indifferent black and purple dragon shadows assaulting Alan and Fafnir.
These dragon shadows were mostly bizarre and unrecognizable, having lost the common characteristics of the dragon race.
Grotesque, sinister, and peculiar, they seemed like dragons with distorted and mutated organs.
When these shadows attacked and reached just before Fafnir and Alan, they instantly dissipated like bubbles.
Alan and Fafnir paused, then exchanged glances.
"These residual force shadows seem to be left by Nidhogg," said Fafnir.
"Yes, and it appears they are just some offshoot projections of its will," Alan added.
