Chapter 1 - The doll came to life (part 1)

"Wow, this doll is so cute!"

The doll I thought was cute soon horrified me.

I was in an old toy shop from the 19th century, a historical place filled with many dolls. As I browsed, one doll caught my eye. It had beautiful hair, pinkish-gray eyes, and wore black clothes. Even though it was an antique, it seemed charming. I bought it for $8.19.

"I like the doll I bought," I said.

"Sunoni, don't be too pleased. Who knows how that doll was made," my friend warned.

I ignored my friend's words and went home. That night, I heard weird noises, which I assumed came from the construction outside.

I flipped open my eyes just for a moment.

"Oh my lord, what is happening here?"

The doll I bought was looking at me, its eyes turning red. I jumped out of bed and ran. The doll gave me a creepy look. Exhausted, I fell asleep on the floor, but the following morning, I was back in bed. I thought it was just a dream, but the creepy feeling lingered.

That evening, my two best friends came over for a sleepover. We were enjoying the TV in the living room when suddenly we heard a loud noise from my bedroom.

"Ahh, Sunoni, what kind of noise is that? Is someone else here?" one friend asked in a scared voice.

"No, no one else is here."

"You should go check."

"But I am scared to go."

"We'll come with you then."

"Fine."

We went to my room and found the floor in a mess. The doll gave me that creepy look again, and now I was really afraid. How? How?

"That doll is..."

"Is what, Asi?" I asked.

"A-a-a-live," she said in a trembling voice.

"What?" I exclaimed.

The doll suddenly moved, its eyes glowing red again. We screamed and backed away.

"We need to get rid of it!" I shouted.

"But how?" my other friend asked.

"We'll figure it out," I said, trying to stay calm. "Let's just get out of here for now."

We hurried out of the room and locked the door behind us. The next morning, we decided to return to the old toy shop.

"Excuse me," I said to the shopkeeper, "this doll I bought... it's haunted. It came to life last night."

The shopkeeper looked at the doll and sighed. "I was afraid this might happen. That doll is from a cursed collection. It needs to be returned to the shop immediately."

We handed the doll back, and the shopkeeper placed it in a locked cabinet.

"Thank you," I said, relieved. "I hope this never happens again."

As we left the shop, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. My friends and I learned a valuable lesson about being careful with what we bring into our lives. The experience bonded us closer together, and we never spoke of the doll again.
