The creature looked noticeably larger than before. It may have eaten some other monsters during the short duration of time they haven't seen it
Jiwoon ran into the closest building with Dylan and Alice close behind him. They thought they would be safe inside, but boy were they wrong. Being inside was probably more dangerous than being in the open, because if they used attacks that were even slightly too strong the building would collapse. Jiwoon and Dylan might be fine, but Alice is still weak.
They tried to run back outside, but the wyrm destroyed the entrance. That's when Jiwoon noticed it. He quickly looked at its status and saw that it was only at a fraction of its health. They should thank the monsters it fought.
The person coming up with a plan this time was Alice, but she, like Jiwoon, wasn't good at thinking. She was still above Jiwoon though. The plan was to only attack the monster right before it attacks, so they can stun it and hit its weakpoint, its stomach. The wyrm may have tough scales, but its underside is almost completely unprotected.
They started moving. Dylan was put in charge of tanking the hits, while Jiwoon aimed for its head to get bonus damage. Jiwoon glided up the back of the wyrm while it mercilessly whipped Dylan with its tail. Alice was on standby because she wasn't very strong, but she had another plan in mind.
After Jiwoon got the monster to less than 1% of its health, Alice shot it with an arrow, gaining all the XP and leaving the beginner status of level one. Due to the monster being strong, she flew all the way up to level 500, and now had to distribute her stat points.
After careful consideration, her Status now looked like this:
Name: Alice Von Albertini (Mage)
Gamertag: CherriBomb
Lvl. 100
All titles: [Lady Luck]
HP - 110/110
STR - 100
DEX - 105
INT - 105
Once she was done, Jiwoon smacked her on the head and called her an idiot. She had only put 2 out of the 297 stat points into her health, increasing her max HP by 10. If she wasn't careful, she could be insta-killed by a lvl. 20 monster.
After collecting the items dropped by the monster, the three walked around aimlessly looking for a building, when a portal formed in front of them.
Jiwoon ran into the portal, hoping they'd get lucky. Following behind him were Alice and Dylan. Unfortunately instead of finding a treasure room, they were somehow in another continent.
They quickly looked around to see if anything was familiar, but the only thing they could recognize was another person who looked like they were about to enter the portal.
It looked like another player, just not a very strong one. They had a beginner weapon, one thrown away as soon as someone hits level 10 and chooses a class. Well, that's only in the game, where they get a new weapon related to the class they picked. For some reason Alice didn't get one when she chose to be a Mage.
The other person spoke, and said his name was Eve. Jiwoon and his friends were in the country of Umbraen, located in the Umbris continent right next to the one they live in. This continent was known for housing people with a high affinity for the dark element. Umbraen was especially exceptional when it came to shadow wizards.
The person they met up with, through luck that was unknown to be good or bad, was from a rival party. One they would always clash with in field hunts. Eve was their newest member. Unfortunately for him, he joined a bit late.
Eve said he knew where his friends were, but he just couldn't get to them alone. He requested Jiwoon to go with him, and promised a rare item.
Jiwoon was about to reject because they had to get back to their home so they can find his family, but Dylan quickly accepted. It was his code of honor to help those in need, and it was this same code that stopped them from picking up the loot from the minotaur that the angel and demon duo killed.
Jiwoon was once again about to turn him down, but the portal behind them closed. Now they had nothing else to do, so they all decided to help.
Eve said his friends were in Simulae, the country North of Umbraen. It would've been a lot faster if one of them had a teleportation skill, but only Eve's party leader had it. You might wonder why Eve's friend doesn't just use the teleportation skill to get to him, but I can't tell you. Not even I, the narrator above all, know.
They were walking for a few hours when they came across a stall that was selling Earth Drakes. Earth Drakes are the toughest land mount known to man (and every other race).
They asked the shopkeeper if there were any towns or villages nearby, and he told them that 2km South was the village of Drintre. This was the opposite of where they needed to be, but they needed to shelter somewhere.
They walked for hours, slowed down by the monsters they had to cut down along the way. By the time they reached the village the sun had already set. They asked for a room, but they had to pay 5 silvers for a room for four and a room for one. They pooled all their money together, but it only added up to 4 silvers.
They were about to leave and sleep outside, when a stranger tossed them a silver coin. He told them to spend the night, and that sleeping in the cold is bad for their health.
They thanked him, but he ignored their gratitude and continued drinking. They stayed at the inn, but they had no money for the next night. They had to think of a way to gather enough money before the next nightfall.
