Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: "Shadows of Conflict"

In a world where the echoes of past achievements clash with the uncertainties of the future, the story of Maharlikan unfolds, revealing a tapestry woven with threads of innovation, political intrigue, and societal evolution.

Centuries ago, the forefathers of Maharlikan blazed a trail of scientific discovery, creating marvels that shaped the course of history. They were visionaries, pioneers who saw beyond the horizon of their time. In contrast, the descendants of these great inventors find themselves adrift in a sea of confusion and moral ambiguity. That era they have wonderwoman, while their descendants in 2022 wonder what woman is.

The concept of freedom, once a beacon of hope, has been distorted and misinterpreted. The line between personal liberty and societal responsibility has blurred, leading to a state where self-expression is championed at the expense of common sense.

The narrative of equality has been hijacked, conflated with issues of sexuality, causing division where unity should prevail. There was never been wrong being your true self but affecting others and brainwashing other people is a crime that they make it legal. How could it not when it was lowering someone's basic intelligence of identifying sexuality. If you are gae, then you are gae is there really a need to change ur genetal?, and being offended when someone judge you base on the sex that God's given you. But the worse part is, someone wouldn't used Maam, Miss, Sir, Mister because they might offend the other person by judging their sexuality.

This is what happen to Western Nation, the misery that the people only cried in silent as they were afraid being judged by the public who have different views of them.

Don't be afraid by the changing world, but be when it is within.

Shino, a figure of foresight and strategic thinking, recognizes the precariousness of the situation. He understands that true progress requires a balance between freedom and responsibility. His vision for Maharlikan is one of harmony, where individual rights are respected, but not at the cost of societal cohesion.

He knows the danger of liberty, equality and freedom. Too much sweetness may cause sickness. "Give and take" a rule that will last for aeons.

The motherland give you freedom to be a man, so you should serve it for atleast 2 years or do bayanihan.

The motherland will give you freedom to sexuality, but you must leave the country if you have the intention to marry. It is also prohibited to promote your sexuality to other people.

The motherland give you knowledge, you must help building the nation, educate the masses, discover and learn new things and not hinder the nations growth by promoting chaos and rebellious thoughts in the country.

A supremo is chosen by the majority of the people. It only means that the nation will follow the supremo waling in fire and storms. In this way, electing a supremo is sacred, critical and earth shaking . It doesn't allow just anyone who have political backers but didn't have enough ability. Supremo must have the ability, talent and intelligence to foster the nations progress, development and prosperity.

After months of meticulous planning and preparation, France and the Netherlands made the fateful decision to navigate the treacherous waters of the Malacca Strait. With their sights set on expanding their colonial empires, they embarked on what they believed would be a swift and decisive campaign.

But as their ships sailed into the narrow passage, they were met with an unexpected and devastating blow. Without warning, Maharlikan naval vessels emerged from the depths, launching a surprise attack that sent shockwaves rippling through the French and Dutch fleets.

Confusion and fear gripped the sailors as they struggled to comprehend what was happening. They scanned the horizon for signs of the enemy, but there was nothing to be seen except the endless expanse of the sea. It was as if the Maharlikans had materialized out of thin air, striking with deadly precision before vanishing back into the depths.

As the French and Dutch forces reeled from the unexpected assault, another blow fell upon them. A raid on one of their camps in India left them reeling, their supplies dwindling and their morale plummeting. The Maharlikans had struck a crippling blow without ever setting foot on the battlefield, leaving their adversaries shaken and vulnerable.

Desperate for reinforcements, Britain answered the call for aid, dispatching its formidable Royal Navy to support its embattled allies. Yet even the might of the British fleet proved powerless against the unseen threat lurking beneath the waves.

One by one, the ships of the European powers fell victim to the Maharlikan submarines, their hulls shattered and their crews sent to a watery grave. The once proud navies of France, the Netherlands, and Britain were humbled by an enemy they could not see or comprehend.

In the heart of Europe, tensions reached a boiling point as the conflict with Maharlikan escalated. The once-dominant colonial powers found themselves facing an adversary unlike any they had encountered before. With their supply lines severed and their forces scattered, they struggled to maintain control over their far-flung territories.

The Maharlikans had proven themselves to be formidable adversaries, striking with stealth and precision from the shadows

France, Netherlands, and Britain found themselves facing an adversary whose strength and tactics surpassed their expectations. The once dominant European powers now struggled to maintain their grip on their colonies, as unrest spread like wildfire.

In the war rooms of Paris, Amsterdam, and London, military strategists scrambled to devise a plan to counter Maharlikan's advances. The mysterious sinking of their ships and the relentless sabotage operations had left them reeling, questioning their own capabilities.

In Paris, protests erupted outside the palace of the French monarch, demanding answers and an end to the conflict. Chief of Staff Willbert, under mounting pressure, ordered a crackdown on the protesters, fearing the spread of dissent.

Meanwhile, in Maharlikan, Supremo Shino addressed the nation, rallying them with his words of unity and determination. The Maharlikan people, fueled by a sense of national pride, stood ready to defend their homeland against any threat.

As the conflict escalated, the Soviet Union was dragged into the fray, accused of supporting the rebels. Soviet diplomats vehemently denied the accusations, but the evidence against them was damning.

Back in Maharlikan, preparations for further modernization and expansion continued unabated. The Industrialization Program and Armed Forces Modernization Program were in full swing, ensuring that Maharlikan remained at the forefront of technological advancement.

At the Maharlikan Tradepoint in Kolkata, Filipino businessmen marveled at the opportunities that lay before them. Maharlikan's global presence was opening doors to new markets and partnerships, boosting the economy and bolstering the nation's strength.

In Europe, the situation worsened as more colonies rebelled against their colonial rulers. The natives, armed and organized, fought fiercely for their freedom, catching the colonizers off guard.

As the conflict reached a critical point, Maharlikan remained steadfast in its resolve. Supremo Shino, in a show of strength and determination, vowed to forge ahead, no matter the obstacles.

The screen fades to black, leaving the outcome of the conflict hanging in the balance. The shadows of conflict loomed large over Europe and Maharlikan, casting a dark cloud over the once peaceful lands. Only time would tell who would emerge victorious in this struggle for power and dominance.

Western nation started to understand why Maharlikan was arrogant, their strength lies in its technology.

France | Paris

"In the heart of France, a nation teetered on the brink of chaos as internal strife threatened to unravel the fabric of society. At the center of the storm stood Chief of Staff Willbert, his hands stained with the blood of failed plans and shattered dreams.

When news arrived of the burning of their hidden supplies in India, Willbert's world crumbled around him. How could their carefully laid plans have gone so awry? As protests erupted outside the palace walls, Willbert's iron grip on power began to slip, his authority challenged by the voices of dissent echoing through the streets.

Desperate to maintain control, Willbert resorted to drastic measures, ordering the arrest and imprisonment of hundreds of protesters. But his heavy-handed tactics only served to fan the flames of rebellion, drawing the attention of the international media and casting Maharlikan in a damning light.

Meanwhile, in the shadows, Shino Franz plotted his next move with calculated precision. As Supremo of the clandestine underworld, Shino understood the true nature of power – it lay not in brute force, but in cunning manipulation and strategic alliances.

While Willbert grappled with the fallout from his failed schemes, Shino worked tirelessly to shore up Maharlikan's defenses, forging secret pacts and alliances with shadowy figures on the fringes of society. As the Western powers watched with wary eyes, Shino played a dangerous game of cat and mouse, dancing on the edge of disaster as he navigated the treacherous waters of international intrigue.

But even as Maharlikan's fate hung in the balance, Shino remained undeterred, his resolve unshakable in the face of adversity. For he knew that in the shadows, where darkness reigned supreme, lay the true power to shape the course of history.

As tensions continued to mount and the specter of war loomed on the horizon, Maharlikan stood at a crossroads. Would it succumb to the chaos and turmoil that threatened to consume it from within, or would it rise from the ashes, stronger and more resilient than ever before?

Only time would tell as the shadows of sovereignty enveloped the nation, casting a pall of uncertainty over its future. And in the midst of the chaos, one thing remained clear – in the shadows, where secrets lurked and alliances shifted like sand, lay the key to Maharlikan's destiny.

On the outside, Maharlikan is Western friend while in the dark side, we are supporting proxy war in South Asia, Africa and Asia.

There was a saying "War supplies business make you rich faster than gold mining"

A research was also started in Dec 3, 1906 for missiles development.

An agreement was held between France and Maharlikan in London. Britain host the agreement. In the agreement, Maharlikan will withdraw its troops in Thailand, Indonesia and Timor Leste. In return, France and Britain will give the locals of the said region the power to govern and voice their dissatisfaction. Europe must not abuse the locals and must be treated with fairness and justice.

Western nation had also recognized Vietnam, Mahika (Guangxi, Hainan and Guangdong), and Taiwan as part of Maharlikan territory.

New maps was made and recorded in school integrating Vietnam, Taiwan and Mahika. Army Base and Naval Base was also being build in Hainan and Taiwan.

Filipino Teachers and businessman was also sent to Vietnam, Hainan and Taiwan to teach the locals the Tagalog. While in Mahika, Chinese natives was given a choice to leave the land and sell it or convert to become a Filipino citizen.

To become a Filipino citizen, woman should marry a Filipino while the man serve the army for 5 years.

A business regulation was also passed. Filipino businessman, registered in Philippines had 5% tax in its 3 years after starting a business, after 3 years the tax will increase to 10%. If they want to upgrade their business and trade international, they would pay 30%. There is also a benefit being registered in Maharlikan. Businessman could trade worldwide in any Tradepoints that Maharlikan build across the world. Tradepoint are place given by a nation for Maharlikan to build a marketplace, business office and etc. All operation, security and regulations here only follows the Maharlikan. The Maharlikan had full autonomy in this region (small village) as long as Maharlikan didn't endanger the security of the nation. There are only 4 Tradepoints that are built; Chiba (Japan), Kolkata (India), Portofino (Italy) and Doha (Quatar). These country agreed with Maharlikan proposal as its hasten the industrial growth of their nation and also to further strengthen its relationship as they know that Maharlikan is a rising global powerhouse. If Maharlikan becomes stronger than Europe then it also means that they have a strong ally and backer. Hitting two birds with one stone as trade with Maharlikan will make their country prosper and closer with each other. Maharlikan was also able to gained the resources and able to produce many business and service opportunities to Maharlikan people. Maritime Industry will become a trend.

As peace settled over Maharlikan, the nation blossomed into an economic powerhouse, with trade flourishing between Europe and its shores. Yet, while Maharlikan reveled in its newfound prosperity, a storm brewed on the horizon for the British and other European colonizers.

Across their colonized territories, uprisings erupted like wildfires, catching the colonizers off guard. At first, suspicions fell upon Maharlikan, but those suspicions were quickly dispelled as evidence emerged that the rebels were armed with weapons identical to those used by the Soviet Union.

The colonizers scrambled to contain the unrest, fearing the spread of rebellion to other regions under their control. Yet, their efforts were hampered by the growing voice of dissent among their own people, who increasingly questioned the morality and legitimacy of colonial rule.

Tensions soared between the Western powers and the Soviet Union as accusations flew back and forth. The Soviet government vehemently denied any involvement in arming the rebels, but leaked evidence painted a different picture.

Caught between the specter of war and the desire to avoid further bloodshed, the Soviet Union found itself in a precarious position. Memories of the Russo-Japanese War still haunted the collective consciousness, and the prospect of another conflict was met with dread and despair.

In the corridors of power, diplomats worked feverishly to defuse the escalating crisis, seeking a path to peace that would satisfy all parties involved. Yet, with emotions running high and trust in short supply, finding common ground seemed like an impossible task.
