9/13 13:03 (Summer, Day; Amber & Aurora)
A talon, leaving behind a trail of golden flames, was launched to try and cut her head, attack that was dodged before a tail covered in cold mist was swung in response.
As Amber floated around said tail, she roared releasing a wave of fire all around her, wave that was stopped dead by an incoming wave of freezing air before a narrow Dragon Breath was casually dodged as the Phoenix generated flames around her that she then shaped into burning red strings through both "Pyrokinesis", an Innate Skill common in Phoenixes, and "Blaze Crafting", another Skill common in the same Race, being an Ability Skill instead.
Strings that she then used to bind the Dragon's limbs and her mouth around the frozen armor that started to slowly melt, before she released a rain of golden fire in the zone around them.
Hurriedly, Aurora created a wall of ice through Mana Shaping to block the wave of fire directed at her, a sigh of relief released by her, before she froze, her eyes widening.
The fire that was directed away from her froze in the air before being turned into crimson spears that surrounded her, spears that quickly tried to pierce her from all directions.
Aurora's eyes quickly widened before she roared, doing something rare for True Dragons to do.
She forcefully changed the area around her, freezing the flames solid before they shattered in ice crystals, both the spears and the strings, before the area returned to normal.
"How surprising." Amber praised, while her flames melted down the ice around her. "It seems like you studied how Drakes fought to learn how to actively amplify your Domain the way Drakes do. I must offer my praises to you."
"Shut up! I don't accept any praises from someone that is holding back like you are!" At her roar, another Breath Attack was launched from the Dragon.
At her words, the flames of the Phoenix rose as a snarl before she completely ignored the Breath piercing her body, flying up to Aurora and cutting her heavily across her chest before sending her crashing to the ground with a wave of flames.
As she breathed in and out to calm down, the hole in her chest refilled with flames as she quickly healed thanks to both her own Skills: Innate "Regeneration", various Vital Energy-based Skills and especially her own Racial Skill "Phoenix".
This allowed her to heal herself extremely quickly and cheaply while her "Undying Body" keep her from losing Vital Energy because of injuries, rendering the previous tactic of exchanging blows more than usable for her.
However just because this tactic was effective, it didn't mean that it was the right one as evident by the fact that the shards of ice around her instantly become sharp, wounding her further.
This was far from their first fight and, as such, their respective weak points were easy to exploit by each other.
As the ice pierced her, she calmed down before heating up the area around her until the ice sublimated into water vapor before arrows made of fire rained down on Aurora.
A wall of ice rose up, meeting the fire half-way up and being constantly destroyed and recreated before finally this bombardment calmed down.
"Ahh, sorry, I lost my cool, I suppose. I should not lose control because of the words of a sore loser that isn't able to beat a young girl two decades younger once in the last fifty times? Sixty? Sorry, I don't remember how many times I beat you in a row. Tell me, do you remember how many times did you lose onesidely?"
"You piece of shit. You have an Innate Skill that, even at your age, you never Ranked Up. You could Evolve in a stronger Race and increase in Rank yet you are still a simple D-Rank Phoenix. If you had ever bothered to increases that Skill's Rank, you would have long since reached C-Rank. What a waste, isn't it?"
"I see… It seems like a certain frozen lizard forgot that for a bird, it is no more than a potential meal, didn't she? In that case, why don't you wait, while I proceed to cook my next meal."
Fire covered the sky around her, before falling down as a rain of crimson arrows, rain that was stopped by yet another wall of ice before she fell down, her flames dancing around her as she started to spin, her flames being quickly condensed around her to form a drill that pierced straight through the wall.
Aurora hurriedly dodged as Amber almost drilled her, before the drill glowed and exploded in a wave of fire that battered her armor, before the Phoenix flew from the fire and cut into her with blazing claws.
The wounds distracted her enough for the Fire-Attribute one to release a breath attack made of condensed flames, in a mocking imitation of a Dragon's Breath Attack, sending her away from her even as she shielded herself with her wings protected by her armor.
As she rose, the Dragon didn't hesitate, releasing a breath of cold all around her to stop the incoming flames before narrowing into a beam that was fluidly dodged by the bird before she flew high in the sky to dodge spikes of ice.
Before the battle restarted in earnest, Aurora roared forcing the temperature around them both to sharply decreases, before a cyan Aura covered her.
She quickly regenerated her armor before meeting her opponent halfway as talons met claws again in a fierce battle as heat and cold fought incessantly.
Aurora roared again, releasing a Breath upon her rival, opponent and enemy, making a new hole in her body and that quickly healed again before quickly dodging two blades made out of flames that the recently wounded one was wielding in her talons that exploded to oscure her sight.
Which was quite a strange thing to do considering how her "Soul Sight" was more than able to see Amber through her smokestream and she should have been more than aware of that.
She didn't hesitate, releasing another Breath Attack to pierce her opponent only for the fire that was hiding her to solidify in a barrier to block it before fire rained down on her.
She swooped down, dodging the fire that however stopped dead before it followed moving around her to limit her possible movements as much as they could.
As she somewhat clumsily moved to dodge the fire, she released a Breath to interrupt Amber from sending further waves of attacks at her, before encasing herself in a block of ice that dropped straight to the ground ignoring the fire directly.
Once there, the cube exploded, sending sharp shards everywhere.
Said shards were quickly melted down by Amber before she fell down in a nosedive while covered in almost solid flames.
In response ice spikes rose from the ground trying to skewer her.
Having noted that Amber stopped in the air while letting the crimson flames around her advanced forward, meeting the spikes and exploding, leaving the way open for her to resume her attack in earnest, her talons wielding and being covered by two great crimson and flaming blades.
As she descended, they were swung in parallel, trying to cut the Dragon in three parts, trying and failing as ice rose to intercept and break them before a Breath attack was released at point blank range, sending her away.
"I must offer my compliments. You are quite a bit stronger than you were 3 years ago. And you are even more capable in a fight. Did the little lizard finally start to train seriously now?"
"Ah ah, I could say the same to you. What is the meaning of all these swords, eh? Taking inspiration from those ones, aren't you?"
"Obviously. If I find something interesting it only makes sense to be able to reproduce it myself, doesn't it? However, it is quite surprising to hearing you disparage the little ones considering the fact that you bothered to make an armor for yourself. Afraid of a little bit of heat?"
Amber mocked as her "Rising Sun" continued to shine upon the area, increasing slowly the temperature to combat the lowering temperature caused by Aurora's nature as an Ice Dragon and forcing her to use even more Mana constantly, after all the purpose of this Spell was to force Aurora to spend as much Mana as possible.
While Aurora was preparing for the continuation of the fight, her limbs pressed against the ground and her wings and tail moving slowly to prepare, while Amber was slowly flying in place, her talons wielding a couple of crimson blades in her talons.
"Tell me, why don't we fight in a humanoid form?"
"I see… it seems that your pride is doing its best to crush you, you overgrown lizard. But if you want to lose AGAIN, who am I to refuse?"
At this point the two of them glowed, one a warm gold with a tiny purple core, while the other glowed a cold azure before leaving behind two humanoid figures.
In the place of the Phoenix, there was a 19 years old cute girl, 163 centimeters tall, with flowing golden hairs reaching just past her shoulders, pale skin and orange eyes, wearing a crimson battle dress made entirely by flames and wielding a blade in her right hand made of the same, with a pair of golden wings shining brightly phasing through her dress.
In the place of the Ice Dragon, instead, there was an 18 years old attrattive girl, 188 centimeters tall, with long flowing azure hairs, pale skin and vivid red eyes, with her distance from other living beings shown by her azure scales all over her body, a pair of horns, wings and a tail, wearing a light blue dress open on her back for her wings, before a layer of ice formed as armor covering her limbs, chest and forming a crown of ice upon her head.
The momentary pause in the fight ended as the two of them rushed in, a blade made of flames meeting a blade of ice once, twice, thrice before the frozen blade finally melted into pieces even with Aurora constantly cooling it, before she found herself hastily dodging the fifth swing, a small cut being burned on her side, her armor blocking most of the damage, before a kick from Amber coated in fire sent her away being followed by a cutting trail of fire.
Trail that was stopped by a wall of ice before Aurora flying back, ice forming claws around her hands as she swung multiple times, being able to hit Amber with her palm and sending her flying, her crossed arm minimazing the damage before she stopped herself, fireballs being generated around her, fireballs that she launched towards her opponent.
As fireballs rained down upon a wall of ice, Amber ran in, her sword forming a line of ash in the ground, before it was swung meeting one of the ice claw and piercing straight through most of her left hand, before it released a wave of flames.
From the flames, the Humanoid Dragon jumped out, her armor being slowly reconstitute as was her wounded right hand.
While her scales and her skin in general were quite sturdy as she was a Dragon, she unfortunately didn't have the "Imperial Scale" Innate Skill yet, a matter that wounded her pride further.
Meanwhile the golden flames grew hotter and hotter, as slowly Amber exited from them, the flames moving in around her, as her wings opened wide on her back as she prepared to restart the battle, her sword wielded in her left hand starting to vibrate slightly.
9/13 14:21 (Summer, Day; Luna)
Luna smiled at what she saw.
She watched what, at first sight, looked like the entrance of a normal cave within a mountain.
She smiled, entering it only to find herself in a completely different location, still something similar to a cave, it was instead a crypt or at least a place similar to that, with skulls in various places within the ground or in the walls, various candles lit by purple flames illuminating of purple the black stone that is the wall of the entrance.
She watched behind herself, finding the entrance to be not an hole in the ground, but a great gate made of the same stone with various carvings of skeletons and similar undead creature.
She nodded, a True Arrow launched to one of the skulls.
After the Arrow ceased to be, there was no damage on anything already present before her.
Her hypothesis was proved correct, this was a Dungeon, a place where enough Miasma was accumulated to the point that a Core was formed and so a new Dimension was created by and around it, a Dimension united yet separated to the external World.
She heard it.
Pained groans from voices unable to speak intelligently.
She saw them.
Figures of skin, bone and flesh in various stages of decomposition entering the room she was in.
A group of around 7 Zombies, their empty eyes seeking her while an almost physical Aura of black Miasma pulsed from their bodies before they yelled, a piercing noise that seemed to suck the will of those that heard it.
Luna' smile widened as she prepared for combat.
