[Raixiu's pov]
It's all the same...
"Cheers! To a new rule!" echoes ran through my mind, filled with jolly laughter and the splash of liquid gold that spilled on the tables, their eyes filled with merry and joy, not showing any signs of regret for the king's passing.
His so-called friends were moving on in a blink of an eye, their wrinkled fingers wrapping around their wine glass like the snakes they are, and their cheerful, festive smiles were hiding more vile ones underneath as the ball went on.
"Come on, Raxiu, loosen up! No need to be so stiff!" The king shouted in his deep, merry voice, hitting me on the back in his playful banter, his robe adorned with a shiny bronze silk, his roar that of a lion, his long brown hair weaving and curling around his face into a majestic mane.
"My apologies, sir Frax; I'm just not in the festive mood at the moment." I reassured her, trying to maintain my balance.
