Chapter 5 - Raw meat

The sun was setting, a golden glow mixed with the black edges of the forest covered the forest, all of these joined hands and formed a spectacular and beautiful scene.

Ryan was lying on the floor, he was breathing hard, his throat was dry and his windpipe was not moving.

A fresh and refreshing energy flowed through his body, but the pain did not allow him to enjoy the coolness and peace of victory in battle, all his bones were shooting and his skin was turning purple, the pain was mild but scattered and spread throughout his body. It was annoying, as if thousands of ants were biting at the place of tension at the same time.

He bit his lip in pain, Ryan's black t-shirt was now torn with wolf claw marks and teeth, and his blood was red in the form of a messy painting.

Tingling his body slowly subsided but that was not the end. The wounds on Ryan's forearm and ankle were burning badly, as if his body was being roasted on fire, he looked at the wound on his hand.

The hole was almost punctured and the circular tooth mark around his forearm looked like a tattoo with deep scars.

The two hole marks were deeper, obviously the places where the wolf's fangs were left on Ryan's hand. To his surprise the flesh was gathering and twisting in his wound, he was confused and blinked several times with a contorted face.

Ryan couldn't believe the scene in front of him, was this the effect of life energy?!

In less than a few minutes, his body was back to normal, this scene looked like the wounding of a Roianton in epic stories, but Ryan knew that it was all thanks to the life energy he got from killing the wolf. it is possible

The drops of blood on his face disgusted Ryan and bothered him, he glanced at Greg's corpse on the ground and slowly got up.

His knees were still weak and the previous shock was affecting his body. He felt very weak and his throat was burning with thirst. After all, he was already hungry and fear made him even weaker.

He took a step towards the river, Ryan's right ankle was shooting and he felt pain, as if his body was still suffering from the previous injury even though the wound had healed.

He limped towards the river, sat down by the river and once again dipped his hands in the shape of a heart to collect the water.

He filled his hands and drank as much as he could. The coldness of the water and eating it all at once hurt his throat.

"Damn!."

Still, it was pleasant and enjoyable, he thought of nothing else, the sound of his stomach overtaking the roar of the river as he drank the water.

Ryan cut off a portion of the wolf's flesh, holding the piece of flesh in his hand, blood dripping from it and falling to the ground.

If it was before these events, he would not even be willing to take a second look at the wolf's body, but after spending only one day in the forest, he had come to the realization that his only way to survive would be to compromise with the situation and fight for his life.

Ryan's blue eyes showed a look of disgust, he closed his eyelids and swallowed a line of wolf meat raw.

Ryan had no choice, he swallowed the piece of meat with difficulty and separated another part, he continued to eat while consoling himself:

"It's not as bad as I thought!", and continued to chew and swallow the meat.

He gradually felt full. His strength had returned and his lethargic body seemed more lively.

Ryan muttered.

"It was a difficult day!"

The night was still ahead and he knew it well, the only thing he missed was the smell of blood that filled the air, this in itself was a great trigger to create danger and draw a beast to the riverside.

He listened to the sound of the water while thinking about his situation and enjoyed watching the river pass by.

Ryan thought of the strange runes that had been displayed to him since entering the forest, he thought to himself as he looked at the page curiously.

"I have to understand these things first!"
