Chapter 41 - Chapter 041

1, Treat every firearm as if it were loaded. There are no exceptions to this rule, not even for unloaded weapons. It is very easy for even professional shooters to forget whether or not a gun is ready to fire, and the consequences can be extremely serious and even deadly.

2, Never point your gun at something you don't want to shoot at. Don't point it at your friends, a part of your body, a pet, the walls of your home, or your TV, even if you think it's not charged.

3, Do not place your finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot. The trigger can be activated with relatively little pressure. Train yourself to keep your finger steady and away from the trigger every time you pick up a gun, and at all times when you hold it and have no intention of shooting.

4, Keep the safety on until you are ready to shoot. The safety keeps the gun free from the chance of an accidental discharge and can help keep you safe while handling the gun. Only disengage the safety when you are ready to shoot.

5, Choose the correct size of ammunition for the gun. Typically, guns and ammunition are labeled with the same numbers, but there are certain exceptions, details, and variations to the rule. Keep in mind that using the wrong bullets can not only render the gun useless, but also risk it exploding in your hand.

"..." Takashi sweatdropped a large drop of sweat behind his head, because of the long explanation that even if he wanted to listen, it was easy for him to pay attention to everything.

'Don't shoot yourself or friends, Done!' For his part, Naruto had taken out a notebook from somewhere, which he used to write down everything he heard, who knew that was the only time he would pay attention to a class.

It would be about a weapons use class.

Continuing with his explanation, Hirano took out the magazine of a pistol and showed it to the boys.

Load the gun:

Make sure to keep the barrel pointed in a safe direction. Remember to never point the gun at anything you do not intend to shoot. Always be careful which direction the gun is pointing.

Eject the magazine from your pistol. Depending on the type of gun you have, there should be a button next to it that allows you to eject the magazine.

Remove any of the extra rounds from the chamber. Check to see if there are no rounds loaded in the chamber. Your pistol may have the "slide" open to show that it is empty. If not, pull back the grille to reveal the camera. Check to make sure the chamber is empty.

Hold the charger in your non-dominant hand. The magazine is tilted slightly upward and the back (facing downward) should be positioned against the palm of your hand between your thumb and index finger.

Insert a bullet. Insert the target rounds by sliding the rear end of the ammunition (the non-pointed end) into the top of the magazine. As you slide the bullet in, you will feel some resistance. Press down to engage the spring plate and then slide the bullet all the way in.

Fill and replace the charger. Add more bullets one by one until you can't push the plate with the spring down. Make sure the top bullet is securely fastened. Insert the magazine back into the gun by pushing it until you hear a click.

"Click...I got it!"

" Are you seriously listening and writing everything down?" The brown boy thought incredulously as he saw how the blonde boy was writing down everything he could, and that Hirano spoke as if there was no tomorrow didn't help either.

Fire the gun:

1, Hold the weapon with your dominant hand. Wrap your middle, ring, and pinky fingers around the handle of the gun and rest it comfortably in the palm of your hand.

2, Hold the gun with your non-dominant hand. Press with your non-dominant hand so that it covers the portion of the handle that is not covered by your dominant hand. Place your index, middle, ring, and pinky fingers under the trigger safety around your dominant hand.

3, Hold the gun firmly. Remember that you are about to make a small explosion and all guns release at least some force after impact. You should hold the gun more firmly than you think, but avoid holding it with "extreme force."

4, Stand with both feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent. Find a position that is comfortable. Make sure you don't stand with your feet too close together, as the force of the shot can send you backwards and hurt you.

5, Extend your arms and lean forward. Your arms should be extended straight in front of you, without blocking you. Bend your elbows slightly and keep your shoulders straight toward the target. Lean forward slightly to use your body weight to counteract the force of the shot.

6, Align the peepholes. Your typical pistol has two sights commonly known as the front sight post and a rear sight notch. Aim the gun so that the top of the rear and front sights are at the same level. That tells you where the bullet will go.

7, Pull the trigger. Press the trigger back, without moving it side to side. Press in a continuous, smooth motion until the gun fires.

If you're having trouble, mentally repeat something like "slow" or "gentle."

After finishing his long explanation, Hirano looked back at his friends who were staring at him, "Any questions?"

"¡Yo!"

"Why are you raising your hand?" Takashi asked confused.
