Aurelius woke up immediately and became alert; he thought they were under attack. He had walked into her room the previous night and went under the light blanket, snaking his hand around her tiny waist and spooning her.

He got off her bed in confusion. 'What did I do wrong?' he reasoned. He climbed off the bed and stood straight. He was in a short brief. He had taken off his clothes in the middle of the night because the atmosphere was hotter than that of Fristia, and his body wasn't used to it.
Charlotte saw the entire expanse of his skin and his ripped muscles and reddened in embarrassment. The fact that there was no shame on his face even astounded her more.
