Chapter 20 - P

An innocent man is taken above

bile ridden and made for purgatory

Stripped of empathy and love

The crime is not yours

You're bound with rope and taken upon the gods

You meet those you once bowed for

The bright light scorches your face

You can feel the smoke in your molding teeth

feel your face melting without haste

And the pressure in rotten bones

The sins of your flesh

Your skin is as imperfect as when you first arrived

I stand before you, an honest man!

He tries to say

But he can only sputter

be not afraid

You won't be here for long

You will not continue your merciless parade

those you harmed, here they will lay

sing your miserable song

Prove to us the worth of your mortal days

beg for your forgiveness

and the fates might sing along

But I have not done such things!

I would not bathe in such grime!

I promise with all my time.

That boy I did not know.

I only met him after the snow.

Half truth in his words

Lies muddled under his nails and gums

The boy was not one of your knowledge

Yet his family weeps

You have made him deaths hostage

For that, you we will not keep

The man pleads an act far from coy

Soft lyres hum and swirl in his head

But I never harmed the boy!

How can he be dead?

You have done much wrong

This one was not by your hands

Those you have taken before him led you here

Before us, you stand

If the grieving had hold of you, would they be calm?

you will not be met with swords

All you have done has not been said

We can not allow ignorance to be bred

Those who deny travel in herds

you will not be met with swords

However, your time has come

Have you made full use of your tongue?

It was only half my fault!

That is true

Yet the one who caused his death was none, but you
