Chapter 9 - The Scorpion's Tale

The scorpions tail

Arched and free

Poisons without fail

Waiting in its tree

It has been loved and cherished so

Harmed by its lover though

Felt loved and loved back

Learnt to sting and coils thwack

Injecting into its prey

Always alone at the end of the day

Stiffened shell and sore inside

Behind its poison it will hide

Unlearn its lesson and took up pain

Scared and unwilling to love again
