Chapter 21 - Book 1: Chapter 20: Silver Lake City

This majestic, grand, medium-sized city was able to stand two great wars while other cities and prefectures did not. Silver Lake City is based on the layout of the formation on just a grand scale. The buildings were elegant and simple and gave off the smell of ancient flavors. The roads were laid with red, blue, and gray bricks that made the pattern sophisticated. While walking through the city, Sifir could sense the terrible energy from the city guards that were patrolling the street. Looking for would be criminal or rogue cultivators that didn't clear for the rules in the city.

One could guess that most of the city guards were in the middle or late stage of the Earth Realm. Most of the stronger cultivators were near or in the City Lord Manor. At the bare minimum, the City Lord must be at Heaven Realm or very close to it.

Upon entering the city, Sifir began to look for merchants to sell the Yin-Yang Enlightenment fruit. Even if the fruit was rare spirit plant, it wasn't rare enough to gain a lot of resources. If this Yin-Yang Enlightenment fruit was around a thousand years old, certain cultivators would have killed Sifir instantly if they knew it was on him. In addition, how could Death Sword part with a thousand-year-old spirit plant? He won't even dare.

This is why Death Sword was willing to part with something that could only help so much that it wouldn't matter if Sifir had it or not. Sifir was randomly looking at different vendors, while Purple Night was behind him looking at different materials. Stopping at one vendor, Sifir made a few exchanges of items, and one of them was Yin-Yang Enlightenment fruit.

"Sir, why are you selling this?" The vendor was shocked to see the Yin-Yang Enlightenment fruit upon his small vendor shop.

"I need something else to help me with my next advancement. This is good. Just not what I need at the moment."

"Okay, sir. I can give you a thousand purple coins or several other spirit plants that are worth a thousand purple coins."

"I will just take the thousand purple coins."

"Okay, sir. Here are a thousand purple coins. Anything else?"

"Mhmm... Not right now. I will come back later before I leave this city."

The vendor nodded in agreement. Then Sfir made his way to the cultivation chamber in the business district. This was different from street vendors and local shops. This area of the city only dealt with the wealthy or people with significant backgrounds. When meeting the controller of the cultivation chamber, Sifir couldn't help but sigh at the prices for the time of the cultivation chamber.

"How much time do you want?"

"Two days."

"That will be 75,000 purple coins, sir."

Sifir handed over three max silver cards to the person in charge. As both Sifir and the manager walk to the chambers, "The rule is simple here. All cultivators pay for their time first. If the cultivators spend more time in the chamber, they will be charged extra plus our normal fee as well. This keeps unwanted trouble coming to this establishment."

"A very logical approach." A smirk appears behind Sifir's mask.

"Here is chamber number 5. If you are not in deep meditation, you will be automatically rejected when your time is up."

Sifir just nodded and walked into the cultivation chamber. What makes a cultivation chamber unique is that it can draw in the natural energy of the world. With the formations and different runes in the chambers to lock in the elemental essences, this is why lower cultivators use them in the beginning.

The higher the cultivation of the cultivator, the more they are not willing to use the cultivation chamber. When cultivators break into the Life and Death Realm, they will choose to cultivate in the open world. Some places in the world have more elemental essences than a chamber can hold in spades.

However, they are some of the most dangerous places as well. So most cultivators won't travel to those areas unless they are confident in their life-saving abilities.

Sifir sat cross-legged in the middle of the chamber. Sifir took the fake mask off his face. Before starting a breakthrough to a higher battle prowess and cultivation base, Sifir calmed his mind and took out several items to help him in his breakthroughs.

"I should be able to get to the peak of refinement and the human realm. The breakthrough to the peak of the human realm might be a little more difficult than my battle prowess."

Sifir took out one last thing, and it was a strange-looking rock. The rock glows eryely and gives off a faint pressure of devouring. "Let begin with my battle prowess." Without a second thought, Sifir began the process of upgrading his battle prowess. It should be known that Sifir had several chances to increase his battle prowess on the trip to Silver Lake City.

However, worrying about his safety during the process was one of Sifir's major concerns. And knowing that Purple Night or Death Sword would not let him out of their sight, unlike Jagged, who would be stuck to the Death Sword hip, Sifir had a little bit more freedom, but not by much.

Sometimes your battling prowess is more important than your cultivation base. Because your battle prowess determines how effective you are with your skills, techniques, usage of your body, and all of your senses. This is why upgrading

Battle effectiveness is critical. For cultivators of any race or species, there are several levels of battle prowess. Refinement, Flowing Water, Void Experts, and Domain Users. At each level, you have great control over your body, your senses, and the surrounding area.

Unlike cultivation stages, there is an awakening plane that consists of nine minor levels. Followed by the human realm, the earth realm, and the heaven realm. all of which consist of initial, early, middle, late, and peak stages.Followed by the Life and Death Realm, which consists of three minor realms. This is where the majority of cultivators will either perish or truly begin their journey on the path of the immortal. Even if you finally enter the true cultivation world, you will have to survive in the Fish and Dragon Change Realm. Where you will mingle with cultivators who are either fish or dragons among cultivators. There are several higher realms above those: the Noble, the Ruler, the Sage, the Saint, the King, and the Emperor.

Sifir could feel his body heating up as his blood began to boil. Combining different insights from his first battle with Purple Night until he left the Seven Elements Peak Mountain Range. These insights push Sifir's battle prowess to the late stage of refinement. Sifir knew he could get to the peak stage of refinement in this session of mediation. Breaking these minor barriers gets tougher the higher you go.

The reason why the Sifir breakthrough was so smooth during this whole process. Because he had a large amount of insight, battle experiences, and freakish comprehension. It only took Sifir roughly six or seven hours to get to the peak of the refinement. However, to Sifir's disappointment, he did not have enough insights that allowed him to make it to the flowing water.

"I thought that would take a little bit longer to get to the peak of refinement. Sigh. Let me take a few minutes to calm down. Readjust my train of thoughts and get ready to break through to the peak of the human realm."
