It's the D day, the day they finally travel to Linda's village to meet her parents , they left as early as possible in order to beat the traffic, because it was holiday period and almost every family is traveling home from the city to their various villages for the holidays.
Meanwhile, Linda decided to keep their visit a secret because she wants to surprise them.
The travel to the village was a memorable one for Chris, because he had never traveled such a long distance driving by himself ( his driver's usually do that) or without his private jet, because Linda suggested he kept a low profile in her village because they wouldn't want unnecessary attentions and so their 'breakup' news won't be so hard on her family.
They arrived Linda's village by 1:01pm, Linda's family compound was a typical Nigerian village home, it compasses of a large compound, with a brick house that has a very big spacious sitting room with four windows and eight rooms.
Her father was one of the rich farmers during his time, so he was able to build enough house for his family and a very big yam barn, Linda was the only child from her mother's side, but from her father's side, she has five more siblings, all boys.
She was the first and only daughter which was why her parents wanted her to get married atleast before her brother's start bringing in their wives
Sister, big sis is back, The last born of the house was the first person to see Linda and Chris's arrival and he raised a joyous song
Naetochukwu!!, Linda cried out, hugging her younger brother in joy
My daughter is back ooo, Her mother screamed joyfully, dancing around
They hugged happily, and Linda asked about her father and she was told he's taking a siesta
I'm here my daughter, the father said coming out from the house,'' I was awoken by the noise," he explained hugging Linda and they all went inside.
Linda proceeded to introduce Chris to them
Mum, Dad, this is my husband to be,his name is Christian Nduka, ''looking at her mother, she added " Mom, this is the man I have been telling you about 'and her mother beamed with smiles'
Aaahh, a very handsome young man, you're very much welcome my son , Linda's mother said quickly giving Chris a hug
Thank you ma, Chris said smiling
Errmm, Linda's father began by clearing his throat " my son, you're welcome to my home
Thank you sir, Chris appreciated
You both should bath and settle in, I'm sure you had a long journey, we will talk later in the evening, when you get to tell me more about yourself my son,
Ok sir, Chris replied

It was almost 10 in the night, they were both in the room,''
I actually thought they would be harsh or scary, mean looking too, considering the fact they they were practically forcing you to get married
No,my parents are actually the best, very nice people, them disturbing me about marriage is just one of their ways for looking out me
Yeah, that's probably true, Chris agreed '' but what are you doing, '' he asked noticing what Linda was doing
What do you mean what am doing, I'm obviously trying to spread the duvet so I can sleep, She replied
On the floor? You know it gets really cold in the morning, or what if someone comes to check up on us at night or very early in the morning, won't it be suspicious for us couples to be sleeping apart?
Linda sighed and said, you're right,
Chris smiled and tapped the space beside him on the bed and said, ''come on up,
When they have both laid down and covered themselves with the bedsheets, Linda said, " Chris, I'm very grateful that you are doing this for me
No need to be grateful Linda, I'm doing it with a condition right? Chris said and closed his eyes to sleep while Linda swallowed.
