After what felt like a second, I got up to leave because I was so nervous that my
heart was beating so fast. I made my way to go but stopped to say
"As-Salam-u-Alaikum" as a "bye" and he replied; "Wa Alaikum As-salaam, when
can I see you again".
I didn't know what to reply because right now all I was thinking was "He wants to
see me again". Ok relax I told myself but I couldn't at all. So I said what seemed
like the best answer; "Allah knows best, inshallah we met again". That was all I
said and left (in fact ran away).
I don't know what's wrong with me at all, I mean I never got nervous like that
before or was either shy. And it was the first time I spoke to a man. I always hated
boys because they were cheaters, jerks, and full of fitna(while most of them) but
today I spoke with a guy without getting disgusted at all.
Now I can only say one thing which is "I want to marry him".
We came back home around Zuhr, I went up to my room and started jumping and
couldn't help but laugh. I'm so happy right now and I knew that I had never been
this happy before in all of my seventeen years of life.
I knew what I wanted to ask Allah for in my tahjjud salah. I want his heart, I asked
Allah to send me a man whose heart is attracted to you (Allah) and I feel like he is
the one Allah chose.
It was already 8 a.m. the next day, Sunday, so I had nothing to do. I called Maya
over at my house and we hung out together. Mom lets her come because Maya's
mom and my mom are close. They are best friends and we are best friends. I told
Maya about what happened yesterday at the park and how he asked me questions
and all.
Maya didn't know what to say because she knew that there was so much space for
any words to be put in.
"I want to marry him"
What! Maya yelled
I said I want to marry him
Ok, girl hang on, first of all, you are still in school. "So," I said
Second of all your parents would never agree, you know how strict they are.
I knew my parents were strict people and my father only wanted us to marry one of
our cousins because he said that it's what his father and their fathers did. But thething is I don't want to marry someone from our family, I would never be able to
live or even share a bed with someone I don't love.
"I will convince them," I say
"How, with what," says Maya
To be honest I don't know, even though it's not easy to convince my parents. I can
at least make dua to Allah and indeed my duas will get accepted.
