"Thank you for the report." Sera said as the eleven angels sat around the metal table within the core room. Castiel and the others have just reported what had happened over the last four days and sighed in relief at the mission's success. With this mission's success, they were one step closer to gaining a powerful foothold in the Earth realm, a place that lacked holy energy.
"Mr. Ziek and Claire will keep watch over the mountain to make sure that nothing unexpected happens. Make sure that nothing happens to the Divine Prism." Sera said, and both Mr. Ziek and Claire nodded their heads. Sera has taken the position of military commander among the angels, as she was most suited for the role. Mr. Ziek was in charge of blacksmithing so the mountain project was very important to him.
"What is the situation with that demon from a few days ago? Has their been any signs of them returning?" Synthia asked
"No, but we aren't certain if he left someone to spy on us." Sera said
"I doubt it, he seemed more interested his fellow demon Colin. He wouldn't be bothered with us, although, it is possible that he will return after he's done." Castiel said leisurely.
"All the more reason to hurry. We will be commencing the Lake Malbec operation tomorrow. Mark, Synthia, Castiel, Kate, Kirt, Tim, Simon and Roxy will be in charge of that one. You are to clear out all the beasts in the vicinity and place the [Holy Core] within the lake itself. It will have greater protection from there. Once the core is placed it should also be easier to clear out the surrounding beasts, try and collect soul crystals on the way." Sera said and the others looked at her with concern
"Are you sure that's the right decision? You are sending practically everyone, if this mission fails, then there could be casualties which will severely diminish our battle prowess." Mr. Ziek said
"All the more reason to hurry, we need that lake and we have no idea when more tier 5s will cross over from the underworld. For all we know, we might have to deal with hordes of demonic creatures far stronger than we are. If we don't get that lake and a stable source of food, then we will more than likely die." Sera said and the other ones understood what she was implying. The dimensional barrier is weak enough to allow a tier 5 to pass through, it's only a matter of time before they start pouring out like a flood.
"Okay, I get that, but how exactly are we gonna transport that much food from six kilometers away to here? Our storage ring isn't nearly enough to bring enough food in one go. We'd need to do multiple trips and I'm not interested in putting my life in that much danger." Castiel said
"Actually, those soldiers might have come up with a solution to that. They think they can incorporate runes into human vehicles to make them more powerful and better suitable for transportation." Sera said and Castiel snorted
"The moment they even try that, the vehicles will turn to dust." Castiel said and Sera nodded her head
"Well yes, it would, if it were placed on normal human metals, but what if the vehical were to be made of Divine ores." Sera said and the others looked at her in shock.
"The sheer amount it would take us insane. We don't have that much." Castiel said, outraged
"Yes, I agree. Which is why we'll be mixing the divine ores with melted down parts of the remaining vehicle. It should be possible to create one or two vehicles big enough to transport food." Sera said and Castiel reluctantly nodded his head. Suddenly, Tim raised his hand and Sera acknowledged him.
"How exactly do they plan on doing this? I'm not sure how runes work and I'm sure neither do they. And pardon me, but I'm not sure you know how human technology works either. Combining both those fields will take a long time, much less to get the desired result. Plus, how exactly do they plan on building a vehicle from scratch? A project like that will take even longer." Tim said and Sera thought for a moment, before waving her hand and three books with runes written on it's black, leather cover bound in golden edges.
"These are books that explain different types of runes. I'm hoping that these will help bridge the knowledge gap. As for building the vehicle from scratch, they assured me that their enhanced physiques will help with the manual labor and the vehicles don't necessarily have to be exact replicas. Also, I taught them traits like [Penetrating Eyes] and [Brain Enhancement], to make their jobs easier." Sera said and Tim became quiet.
"Plus, they also have the internet so their struggles shouldn't be too bad." Sera added and the former humans looked at her with disbelieving eyes
"W-we had internet this entire time and you didn't tell us." Claire almost shouted
"We didn't want you to become distracted." Synthia said and they looked visibly upset
"You guys are dismissed for now, go get some rest. And we have a few smartphones and computers inside the storage room, just incase you want to enjoy your precious internet." Sera said and the seven of them scrambled out of the room
"Brats." Castiel snorted
"Okay, so tell me, what levels are you currently? I'm currently at level 13." Sera asked the remaining angels
"10." Castiel said
"11." Synthia replied
"11 as well." Mr. Ziek said
"Sigh, this isn't looking good. We need to gain some levels fast, let's hope those ants reproduce and evolve fast. I'll give them a week...no, two weeks before we start hunting them. Mr. Ziek, make sure to try and hasten the queen's reproduction as well." Sera said
"Of course." He replied
