Three hours past, and things were going smoothly. Lily was inside planning where and how exactly to build the walls with the few high Daimonis that had [Earth Affinity], along with Alice. Melissa has chosen a location for the farm and was setting up along with Kindsey and Patrick who decided to tag along for protection. Colin had contacted Bartus and Paul, asking about how things were going on their end inside the Mullvad mountains., and apparently it was going great. Bartus sounded excited about finding such a large treasure trove of cursed ores and Paul and his pack have already discovered the local residence. Colin made sure to remind them to be careful and bring back some of the Cavern Moles crystals.
"Colin, we have completed our survey. We have found everything of value within the town." Leia said
"Good, head back to the hotel and tell everyone to stay inside." Colin said and Leia nodded, before teleporting again.
"Alright then." Colin said and flew into the sky, his eyes turned black, as he held out both his hands. Darkness spread from his hands and spread from his hand and thoughout the entire town. The darkness spread and consumed all that was in it's path, save only the hotel and the [Holy Territory] he placed at the portal. When the darkness disappeared, the only thing that remained in the town, was the hotel and the golden down that resided on another side of it. Colin had agreed with Leia's idea remove the buildings in town and completely redesign it, as most of the buildings in town no longer had uses in an apocalypse. He suspected that the town was gonna look vastly different in the future.
"Alright, you guys can start building now." Colin said to the Daimoni and leprechaun from the Bartus guild. They already had the blueprint for the forge and the only thing left was to build it, and the two of them hopped to it.
'What to do now? The leprechauns and high daimonis are all busy. The werewolves are out in the mountains. That leaves the imps, arachnids and Leia free with nothing to do. That's not good.' Colin thought and suddenly had an idea.
[Leia, I'm gonna need you to seperate your team into two groups. I'm gonna need one group to take inventory of everything we have. Food and all the stuff you guys found in town. And I'm gonna need you to lead a team into the forest and survey it while slaying any tier 4 beasts nearby. Take note of anything special you may find.] Colin ordered
[Alright.] Leia replied, it would be a waste to have them sit around and do nothing while everyone else is working hard. Why not have them survey the local area properly allow their was little hope of them finding anything much and Colin knew that. The real reason he sent them out was so that they could gain some exp and gather some soul crystals, they can never have too much. Now, Colin had to contemplate what he should do in the meanwhile, he could go help Lily, but he had an interest elsewhere.

Less than a kilometer away from town, Melissa has started her preparations for the farming operations. She had uprooted more than a dozen trees turning a small area into empty patch of land, ready to be sown with seed. Melissa was currently resting on this fertile land, observing as Patrick and five humanoid wooden figures dug a channel from the river. She had activated her [Wood Golem Creation] skill to turn the uprooted trees into golems. The golems were crude, but useful, as they were able to follow simple commands and she could change their shapes at will, not meaning she could turn them into anything too outrageous. Unlike Melissa thought, the skill wasn't as op as she couldn't create an unlimited amount of golems to fight for her. The amount was determined by how strong she desired to make each one, and currently, she made five which were barely as strong as a tier 3 beast and not nearly as smart. But then again, she didn't really need them to fight, the others could do that.
"Here." Kindsey said as she handed her a bottle of water, which Melissa gladly accepted.
"You know, it would be a lot faster if the two of you got off your butts and helped." Patrick complained as he had dug a trench all the way from the river to about five meters away from the patch of land.
"Be quiet and dig. You're the one who wanted to help." Kindsey said and Patrick growled in frustration, making Melissa sigh
"That should be far enough. Kindsey, it's your turn." Melissa said and she nodded her head before spreading her wings and flying to towards the river.
"I swear, she became really bitchy after becoming a demon." Patrick said as he sat beside Melissa panting heavily, while the five crude humanoids walked over as well.
"Becoming a demon is a massive change. It changes everyone in a different way, I don't remember you ever baring your teeth like a wild animal when you got pissed." Melissa said
"And I don't remember you being manipulative." Patrick retorted
"I have no idea what you are talking about." Melissa responded
"Bullshit, you know she likes you right and you're using her to run around doing errands for you." Patrick said
"I didn't ask her to come here." Melissa said and Patrick snorted. Just then, they heard the sound of rushing water flowing down the trench they dug a few minutes ago. The water then split into multiple small stream, running through the small patch of land.
"Am I awesome or what?" Kindsey said and Patrick snorted again
"Good job Kindsey." Melissa said and her smile brightened. Melissa took out five seeds from her storage ring, these seeds were of different vegetables, with the only thing they have in common being that they were modified using the [Seed Modification] skill. When using the skill, Melissa was able to see certain information of the seed, it's species, energy alignment which was none, time till it matured fully, endurance of the seed, size of the fruits and tree,etc. She was able to influence all these aspects and she was curious to see what was going to happen. The modification she made to all the seeds, was the time it took to fully mature, which she narrowed down to around two hours. So, without hesitation, she planted the seeds and they waited two hours for it to mature. Within thirty minutes, they sprouted into a saplings, and it's growth accelerated from there. They could see the saplings sucking up the water in the area rapidly, before growing at a rapid rate. Soon they were staring at a lemon tree, a mango tree, apple tree, Guava tree and Jackfruit tree.
"Okay, that was awesome and worth digging a trench for three hours." Patrick said, admiring the beautiful trees, and he could already see the fruits developing rapidly on the branches.
"Wait." Melissa said and held him back as he went closer to try and pick a fruit. Suddenly, the red lines appeared all over the trees and their barks started to get darker. The fruits started to change colours as well, the apples soon growed to have human like faces on them, the guavas, limes and mangos died and fell to the ground while the jackfruit became blue and grew spikes on them.
"My fucking fruits." Patrick roared, but Melissa held them back.
"They turned into demonic plants as I thought. You can't destroy them, I need them to figure out why these plants become demonized, so put those flames away." Melissa said as Patrick conjured blue flames in his hands.
"Alright now little ones, time for you to become babies once more." Melissa said and held out her hand. Green energy was emitted from her hand and the demonic plants shook, as their bodies were shrunk into mere seeds.
"So you can shrink demonic plants into seeds?" Kindsey asked
"Only those up to tier 3, it wouldn't work on tier 4s and higher due to them having soul crystals. Atleast, that's what the information from my [Plant Affinity] says." Melissa answered as she stooped down and picked up the five seeds. The seeds have visibly changed, turning a dark red that gave off an ominous glow. She activated her [Seed Manipulation] skill, and smiled. A new attribute was added to the seed, well two, the energy alignment changed from none to demonic energy and there was an attribute that showed the amount of demonic energy contained in the seed, an attribute that was not there before.
"I think I found the cause." Melissa smiled.

'It seems like things are progressing nicely.' Colin smiled as he floated above the trip, with his [Stealth] trait activated. He had witnessed everything and he was pleased to know that everything was going smoothly.

Due to the use of [Wood Golem Creation], Melissa lost access to thirty of her total DP. And Colin made note of this, making a mental note to increase Melissa's level so that she can have more DP to use. Colin also used [Chaos Eyes] on the golems, allowing him to see a soul crystal that looked more like a green flame burning in their chests.
