'He is hiding something.' Lily thought as she fended off another Windigo. Everyone was fighting as hard as they could, with the werewolves and High imps at the the forefront of battle. The tier 3s stayed behind, attacking from a distance, but their attacks did no damage to the wendigos higher evolved body. Lily activated her [Illusory Shroud] ability and disappeared from the wendigos senses, leaving it momentary confused, before she stabbed her staff into it's stomach where the mark was.
[You have slain a level 10 monster(tier 4), Wendigo. You have 90, 120 exp.]
The staff pierced through the monster's stomach and out it's back, and out fell a black crystal with a blue flame flickering in the middle.
'So he really can see where their soul crystals are.' Lily thought and picked up the soul crystal
[Everyone listen, the marks on the wendigos left by Colin is the location of the monster's soul crystal. If you remove the soul crystals, the monster's will die.] Lily said to everyone through [Telepathy] and the flow of battle instantly shifted. The werewolves and High imps started targeting the marks with their attacks, forcing the wendigos to protect their soul crystals. The intelligent monsters realized what the house of weakness were trying to accomplish and started trying to protect their soul crystals against the demons' relentless assault.
In another area of the battlefield, Alice was facing off against a Wendigo of her own. Hearing Lily's message, she immediately started aiming for the mark on the monster's chest. The Wendigo swung it's claws at her stomach and she quickly turned it into mist, allowing the claws to pass through harmlessly. She stabbed her claws towards it's chest and the monster quickly blocked, allowing her claws to dig into it's hands, drawing black blood. The monster's body suddenly burst into blue flames and Alice quickly backed away. The Wendigo chased her while being surrounded by blue flames and sending fireballs towards her.
She tried dodging to the best of her ability, but the fireballs closed in on her, and she gritted her teeth as she used the [Flash] skill, disappearing from the wendigos view. She reappeared at another part of the battlefield, in the midst of a brutal battle between a werewolf and a Wendigo, and she quickly used the skill again to appear in the air and used her [Shadow Cloak] ability to hide.
'This is annoying, I can't fight that thing properly without a weapon and my last one broke ages ago, and even if I had it, I doubt it would be of much help. What's worse, I can't use my new skills properly since I only evolved a little over an hour ago. Whatever, there's nothing to lose by trying.' Alice thought and slit her own wrist. Blood flowed out, but instead of falling to the ground at the will of gravity, they floated in the air. The drops of blood joined together, and after a few minutes, a sword was formed.
"This should be good enough." Alice said and flew towards a Windigo at incredible speed. The Windigo noticed her approach and prepared a breath attack, but she used [Flash] and crashed into the ground beside the Windigo, before awkwardly stabbing it into it's left thigh where the mark was located but missed. The windigo turned towards her and released the breath attack, a beam of flames and Alice quickly used [Flash] to escape, leaving the blood sword in its thigh. The breath attack melt through the ground and continued across the battlefield, hitting a few Windigos and members of the house of weakness. Alice's family members screamed in pain and she quickly summoned her shadow to block the beam, cutting it off. The Windigo ended the attack and tried rushing towards Alice but fell down on it's face. In its leg, was the blood sword, which was made of Alice's blood and was slowly spreading all over the monster's leg, enveloping it's soul crystal. The Windigo quickly enveloped it's leg on soul flames trying to burn away the blood and it was very effective. Alice slit her wrist once more and created a blood axe, before using one of her new shadow abilities, [Shadow Step] to teleport infront of the Windigo through it's shadow. This ability was much easier to use than the [Flash] skill and as soon as she appeared beside the Windigo, she swung her axe down on his neck.

The rest of the battle continued to go smoothly, with a few individuals, specifically the werewolves, getting seriously injured, but they still continued to battle. Lily directed the arachnids to take on a support role, binding the monsters so that the others could take care of them, since their [Venom] proved ineffective against the monsters. Everyone had an easier time in the battle after this, but then, there was a shift once more.
*Roooooar*
The monsters started to roar in unison and a fierce red aura surrounded each of them. Everyone could tell that whatever skill they have used has increased their abilities, making them stronger.
[Shit, they've used their [Blood Lust] skill. Everyone be careful, their physical capabilities will increase.] Lily said and everyone immediately went on guard. The monsters were able to break out of their bindings and the arachnids started to spin their webs once more, making them stronger this time. The monsters started attacking once more with even more ferocity, and the werewolves and High Imps started to be pushed back, despite the windigos numbers being cut by more than half. Just then, everyone heard a loud explosion in the distance and were momentarily distracted.
'They should be wrapping up right about now, but more importantly, this is my chance. Illusion Affinity: Confusion.' She thought, activating one of her abilities. A large amount of pink energy was released from her body and quickly spread across the battlefield. The pink energy was absorbed into the remaining windigos, causing their minds to suddenly go blank. All their bloodlust was gone and they were unsure of what was happening and what they should do.
[Hurry up and attack them now!! My ability won't last long.] Lily hurried everyone as she fell to the ground, exhausted. She had used most of her remaining DP in that attack and knew that it won't last long, luckily, the members of the house of weakness knew how to make good use of an opportunity when they saw one. The werewolves howled with new vigor and attacked the wendigos aiming for the bulls eye and the high Imps created powerful fireballs to destroy their enemy. The Arachnids bound their opponents in thick thread and Alice went around the battlefield, killing Wendigos with her blood blade. The wendigos soon roused from their confusion just like Lily predicted and tried to attack but found themselves held in place by the Arachnids webs and threads, and Alice's shadows. They quickly enveloped themselves in flames and the werewolves quickly backed off, as their binds burned away.
'Fuck, is this the end.' Lily thought as the Wendigos started to advance once more, when they suddenly stopped and shivered in fear. Red chains made of cruel flames appeared around them and bound them in place, cancelling our their [Vitality Flames].
"What are you guys waiting for? Kill them quickly." Colin said from above and everyone looked up at him, happy to see their leader and friend. But seeing the look in his eyes, a look of disappointment and rage, truly scary eyes. And they quickly did as he ordered and finished off the wendigos.
