"What do you mean the portal is opening?" Alice asked as she and Lily flew towards the source of the energy waves. Everyone else in the town were also heading in the same direction as well.
"There is a portal to the underworld in all the towns on this rin- I mean continent. There are also a one or two in the forest as well. The one in this town is opening and whatever comes through will definitely be looking for a fight." Lily said
"So you're saying that a tier 5, or even six demon could just come into our town through the portal." Alice said with fear leaking into her voice
"No, the dimensional barrier has not weaken that much yet. The most that could past through is a tier 4, so for now we are safe." Lily said
"For now? We need to find a way to close that portal for good." Alice said and Lily agreed. They rushed towards the source of the energy and they soon arrived at the hotel where the undeads were staying.
"I should have known this cursed place was trouble." Alice said as she looked at the hotel
"No look." Leia said, pointing towards a building, close to hotel that looked like it used to be a restaurant. The energy waves were decimating the building, as well as the surrounding ones, including the hotel, but it still stood tall. The rubbles were pushed away, allowing them to see the portal more clearly. It looked like a crack in space with red spiralling energy in the middle.
"What should we do? Should we start launching attacks and hope it closes?" Alice asked
"Wait, it could be someone friendly....or from my family. If so, a fight wouldn't be necessary." Lily said and Alice told the others to wait. The portal continued to release waves of energy and make a cracking sound, but now that they were close, it sounded like a weird scream, like someone dragging their finger nail against a chalkboard. Soon, their patience was rewarded as four figures with torn clothes fell through the portal.
"Who are you?" Alice said in a serious and slightly threatening voice, making Lily almost laugh at her bad impression. Based on what Lily could tell, they were tier 3s vampires and they looked like they were running from something...something she had experience with. They were a man, two women and...a little girl.
"Get away, there are monsters behind us." The man shouted and one of the women grabbed the little girl before they took to the sky.
"Leia, try and suppress the portal with your affinity." Lily said
"But-" Leia tried to say, but Lily cut her off
"No buts, just reach out and try and suppress the energy coming out of that portal. Leprechauns, encase the portal in your affinities. HURRY!!!" Lily hasted and everyone quickly went into action, and Alice didn't forget about their little intruders. She quickly called upon her shadows and surrounding shadows extended towards the four who were trying to escape. As the shadows got closer, they were suddenly encased in mist and the shadows disappeared.
'Shit.' Alice cursed
[Paul, get your wolves and track them down, don't let them escape, but don't kill them. Daimonis, try and track them from the air.] Alice ordered as she rushed after them as well. The werewolves quickly transformed and chased after them and they were quickly followed by the Daimonis. Lily stayed behind with the leprechauns, spider demonsand imps making sure that if something does come through, they would take care of it. She had no idea just how many monsters there were, and she was not keen to find out. Monsters were stronger than beasts and most monsters were harder to fight than undeads like Shuma. They had weird physiques, large pools of DP and their most terrifying attribute, they could turn anyone into undeads, by killing them.
The portal was soon encased in layers and layers of crystals and metal, stopping the spatial energies inside to stop leaking out. Leia was to the side, sweating, as she tried to suppress the energies inside, with little success, but success all the same.
"Alright, that should hold it for a while." Lily said, having no confidence of it holding for longer than a day or two.
On Alice side of things, she could now see the four vampires and werewolves had already caught up from the ground. One of the werewolves hopped on a tree, before jumping into the air.
"Ahhhhh!!" One of the women screamed as the werewolf grabbed onto her and both of them fell to the ground.
"Beatrix." The woman carrying the child shouted, and stopped in the air.
"Esmin don't." The man shouted as the woman dived towards ground for the other woman and the werewolves quickly surrounded her.
"Don't move." Alice said as she appeared beside her and wrapped her shadows around both her and the child.
"You bitch." The man shouted and sent a wind blade towards Alice and she quickly jumped out of the way, causing it to crash into the ground.
'That was strong.' Alice thought as she saw the wind blade destroy a part of the ground. She flew into the sky and faced the other vampire.
"Surrender, and we won't have to harm you or them." Alice said calmly
"Like hell you will !!!" He shouted angrily and winds started to surround him before he flew towards Alice with amazing speed.
'Blood Rush.' Alice thought, activating her trait. Her skin became brighter and she quickly dodged the other vampire's attack, as he attempted to slash her with his claws.
"What?" The man said, before he felt himself crashing towards the ground, like gravity suddenly developed some extra pull. Alice had delivered a spine crushing axe kick to his back, sending him crashing into the ground. Before he could get up, the werewolves quickly surrounded him, and any thought of fighting again left his mind.
