Colin marvelled as all the vehicles disappeared from view and even the sounds of the engines and the wheels grinding against the ground were cancelled out, but Colin was sure he could sense them if he used [Senses Manipulation]. The leopard growled in frustration as it jumped out of the shadow. It turned it's gaze towards Colin and roared loudly before opening another shadow portal and reappeared beside Colin, but he was ready. He threw a flaming punch towards the portal as the leopard exited the portal, sending it flying back out the otherside. The beast got to it's feet and swayed a bit as it's mind started to regain clarity, when it could see clearly once again, it saw a flaming sword drawing closer and closer to it's head and it panickedly created a shadow portal between itself and Colin.
Seeing the portal, Colin quickly jumped backwards and clicked his tongue. The sent a fireball towards the portal, destroying it, but the beast was nowhere to be seen.
"Where did it go?" Colin wondered as he looked around, he activated his [Demon Eyes] and started looking for the residual energy of the beast and he could see a black trail leading a distance away, but unfortunately he wasn't able to follow it.
*SCREEEEEE*
A blast of pure sound waves hit Colin in the back sending him flying across the sky, but he quickly stabilized himself. Turning around, he could see a beast that was shrouded in pure darkness that was in the shape of a bat with glowing red eyes.
'I thought bats only came out during nighttime.' Colin thought and the bat released another terrifying screech, releasing a visible wave of sound. Colin quickly dodged and the creature let out an enraged screech, suddenly spears of pure darkness appeared in the air, and with a flap of it's wings, the bat sent them flying towards Colin. With a flick of his wrist, Colin summoned dozens of flaming spheres and sent them flying towards the bat. A dozen or so of the flaming spears collided with the darkness spears, cancelling them out, while the rest of the flaming sphere collided into the bat. It screeched in pain as the hellfire burned it's flesh and it released another powerful screech which Colin easily knocked away with a swing of his sword. Colin shot towards the bat, ready to finish the job, but before he could, a shadow portal opened behind the bat and shadow tendrils dragged it inside.
"Shit." Colin cursed and activated his [Demon Eyes], and sure enough, he could see a black trail leading from where the portal was to a distance away. Angrily, he followed the trail, and he after a few minutes, he could see the shadow leopard, the bat.....and a new opponent, a huge, beautiful butterfly with rainbow coloured wings.
'So, beautiful.' Colin thought and relaxed a bit upon seeing the beautiful wings of the butterfly, almost dropping his sword.
*Bam*
[- 90 LP]
Due to his distraction, he didn't sense the Shadow Leopard appearing beside him through a shadow portal and delivering a strike to the chest, causing him to crash heavily into the ground.
'Fuck, does that butterfly has some kind of hypnosis ability.' Colin thought as he got up and looking over at his opponents, he could see that the bat was missing and the butterfly was gently flapping it's wings. Narrowing his eyes, he flew towards the butterfly but he was struck by an invisible attack that knocked him aside. He looked around, and he couldn't see anything or sense anything for that matter.
"I-is this beast weakening my senses?" He couldn't help but mutter, as even with [Aura Vision], he couldn't sense the demonic energy around him, not even from the butterfly right infront of him. He flew towards the butterfly and punched it in the face, but it simply turned into pink dust and disappeared.
'What the fuck?' He thought and looked around, and suddenly, all he could see was flowers as far as he could see and he felt a sense of peace overcome him, but even so, his face turned dark. He was suddenly sent flying by a powerful impact that left a wound in his stomach, but he felt no pain, once again he was struck by something from behind that left huge paw prints in his back and he crashed heavily on the ground. Yet, he felt no pain and that sense of peace was only getting stronger.
Suddenly, a spark of flame ignited on his shoulder and then slowly, more and more flames sparked on his body until a burst of hellfire exploded from his body, burning all the flowers and the illusory world to ash. He could see that the bat and the butterfly were in the air while the leopard was a distance away, staring at him intensely. The butterfly was gently flapping it's wings and releasing rainbow dust from it's scales, but unlike before, they were being burned by the surrounding hellfire, sparing Colin it's illusory effects.
"Do you really think I would fall for such a dumb illusion? Do I look like a stupid beast to you?" He sneered while staring at the butterfly.
