The Ghouls soon reached the source of the red lifeforce and they were left confused, in the wall was a brightly glowing sword emitting the aura of their prey.
"The creature of red isn't here, it might have escaped further down." One of the Ghouls said and the nine of them continued down the tunnel, unaware that they were missing one of their companions. As they walked further down the tunnel, a pale hand emerged from the water and grabbed the sword, turning it into mist as well.
'How come they haven't noticed that one of them is missing? They might be intelligent, but they are incredibly stupid huh. Well, that just makes things easier for me.' Alice thought and continued following them down the sewer tunnel. Soon, they arrived at another fork in the road, this time with four paths. The ghouls went down each path in groups of uneven amounts, four went down one path, three went down the second path and the other two went down one each.
'These guys really don't have any concept of camaraderie do they?' Alice thought to herself and went after one of the tunnels with a single Ghoul, she caught up quickly to the unsuspecting ghoul and as her sword and hand materialized behind the ghoul, it spun around sensing the demonic energy in the blade. The blade pierced through the Ghoul's throat and just as Alice was about to pull it back, bone armour surrounded the creature's neck causing the sword to be stuck in it's throat. The Ghoul punched forward with a fist covered in bone armour and full of a corrosive black mist. Alice quickly turned her hand and sword back into a mist and quickly escaped, causing the ghoul to miss. She materialized her entire body behind the ghoul, since she lost the element of surprise, there was no use to hide in mist form anymore. She activated [Demon Pride] and [Demon Enchant] as she swung her sword towards the neck of the ghoul and, sensing the danger the sword posed, it blocked with it's hand which was severed completely.
The ghoul covered it's entire body in bone, creating a bone armour and charged at Alice, she threw the sword towards the ghoul and it easily swatted it away like an annoying fly and grabbed Alice by the neck and pinned her against the tunnel wall. The continued to strangle her to death as she struggled desperately, when suddenly, the blade of her sword stabbed through the creature's head, splashing black blood all over her face.

Alice panted heavily as she rubbed her bruised neck, but she knew she couldn't stay there long or else risk being found by the incoming ghouls, so she quickly grabbed her sword and turned into mist. When she threw her sword, she created a shadow hand from the shadows created by the bit of sunlight that peaked through a manhole cover nearby and grabbed the sword, the rest was a bit harder as she had to concentrate on aiming and stabbing the sword into the monster's skull while being strangled to death.
The ghouls rushed into the tunnel, and Alice counted seven of them which means that one was unaccounted for. She quickly headed into the farthest tunnel where the last ghoul was and as soon as she saw it, she manipulated the shadows around her to bind the ghouls hand and feet, and although she knew they wouldn't be able to hold it for long, she didn't need them to. The ghoul was surprised and confused, but quickly broke free from it's restraints and just as it did, mist started rising from under the water at incredible speed and a sword materialized and stabbed it from below the jaw through it's head. The ghoul stumbled backwards and tried to remove it from it's skull, but a hand materialized behind it and swiftly decapitated it.

'I'm getting better at this.' Alice thought as she intentionally spiked her aura to lure the ghouls and then turned into mist to spring another ambush.
