In the end, Ush'nar stuck to his word and allowed them to pass through the city under his watchful gaze. During this time, I was able to see a lot more of the demons from the house of Sloth and just as I expected, they were all reptile like demons but not all of them were crocodiles. I saw a few with snake tails and fearsome claws, I also saw a few children watching us curiously as we drove through. These children looked mostly human but they had a few non human features like scales here and there and predatory eyes.
'And here I thought all demons wanna rip my head off, I guess I don't know as much about demon society as I thought.' I couldn't help but think as I drove through. As for Sera, she seemed curious about the demons here, which is weird, considering that she is an Angel I though she would be uncomfortable being surrounded by so many red auras, like the priests and saints inside the bus. I could feel them shivering in fear and some tried to want to reach for their weapons but Sera stopped them with a glare. The soldiers on the other hand didn't seem to fear them in the slightest, it seems that as long as something doesn't attack them they won't feel the need to attack, or maybe it was because of their unwavering trust in Sera.
"Sigh, I wish I could look at those demons a bit more closely. I have never seen a reptile Demon before." Sera mumbled as soon as we left the city and I looked at her with a furrowed eyebrows.
"What?" She asked
"You're really weird." I said with a sigh. City G was only a few hours away, so we should be able to pass through it before nightfall, and thanks to Ush'nar we won't have to fight our way through the city, hopefully. I checked the map to see which Demon house will be in city F. It was one of the cities that were abondoned by the Angels due to Demon attacks, but I wasn't told what kind of Demon attacked the city.
[Hey, Synthia.] I said through [Telepathy], I haven't contacted Synthia, or Alice for that matter, in a while.
[Colin, how have you been? How's Sera?] She asked
[We are both fine, we just managed to pass safely through City H and are heading to City G right now.] I replied
[Be careful, who knows what kind of dangers are in City G.] She said
[Don't worry about it, we are going to pass safely. As it turns out, the house of Sloth controls both city H and G, and they promised to let us pass through as long as we don't mess with them ever again.] I said and I was met with silence
[Aren't they the same people that attacked Castiel? The Angel that was protecting the city.] Synthia said after a few moments of silence
[As it turns out, your friend was the one who attacked first.] I said
[Oh.] She replied, not even bothering to defend her friend
[I need to ask you something, what kind of Demon was attacking City F?] I asked and she stayed quiet for a few moments.
[Um, I'm not really sure. I wasn't really told.] Synthia said
[Sigh, how's Alice doing?] I asked
[She's doing fine actually. Although it would be better if you talk to her yourself.] Synthia said
[Alright, see you soon in city B.] I said
[Yeah see you soon.] She replied but just as I was gonna disconnect the mental link I remembered something.
[Hey do you want to talk to Sera?] I asked
[Sure.] She said, trying not to sound excited. I approached Sera and she looked up from the journal and I touched her forehead with my hand.
"What are you-?" She tried to say but stopped and shuddered when my energy flowed into her head.
"What the hell-." But she was cur off once again, as she felt a someone connect to her mentally.
