I created two huge fireballs in my hands and channelled my aura into them causing them to become even redder and even more powerful. Seeing my fireballs, Amara surrounded herself in a cocoon of web and then I fired both my fireballs at her. Both of them exploded on impact and the surrounding buildings were destroyed in a large explosion. When the smoke cleared, a white cocoon could be seen in a crater with it's edges melted, the web used to create the webs looked strangely metallic and solid, and it didn't bear a single scorch mark on it.
'What the hell are her webs made of?!' I shouted in my mind as the metallic web unraveled itself.
"Wow, you scared me there, as expected of a true demon you are really powerful. Too bad you don't know how to use that power properly." Amara teased as she climbed out of the crater.
"What do you mean I don't know how to use my powers?" I asked gritting my teeth
"I just think you're attacks lack a certain amount of power that they should have? I don't think you've been formally trained on how to use your affinity." Amara said with a hand on her chin.
"And let me guess, you have." I said
"Yes, you haven't. You must not have been a tier 4 for long or maybe.....wait a minute, tell me something. Were you once human?" Amara asked with surprise in her voice and I was a bit taken aback.
"So you were a human once, that would explain a lot. The fact that you are protecting an Angel should have been proof enough, but I should have guessed that you were since you were dumb enough to create your own family." Amara said
"Are you going to talk all day or are you going to fight?" I said impatiently
"My, my aren't you eager die." She said playfully and the veins in my forehead bulged. I activated both [Demons Pride] and [Demon Enchant], I wrapped both my fists in aura which gave them a fiery red glow and flew towards the arachnid with all my might.
'Since far range attacks won't work, how about close range attacks.' I thought as I flew towards her. She created a net made of webs and threw it at me, I threw my flaming fist outward ready to destroy the spider webs. When my fist came into contact with the web, I felt it sticking to my fist despite it being engulfed in hellfire. I roared out and engulfed my entire body in hellfire, destroying the net. When the flames cleared, I saw a delicate, little grey fist approaching my face at incredible speed and when it hit, it felt like I was hit by a sledgehammer and the bones in my face were broken. Needless to say, I was sent flying and I smashed through two buildings before I came to a stop.
'What the fuck?' I thought as I held my jaw and I was pretty sure the bone was broken. Although my jaw was already healing, I could still feel the pain from that punch and I could feel my blood boil. The last time I was this humiliated in a fight was when I was a Fiend and I had to run away from undead thralls. As my rage increased, I felt a new yet familiar instinct rise from my very core, that violent instinct that demanded I destroy whatever opposed me but unlike last time I didn't suppress it. I let the violent instinct take hold of me and my eyes glowed even fiercer than before and so did my flames and aura. I felt a dull ache in my chest but I ignored and shot out of the building like a comet towards the arachnid who dared to humiliate me.
"Back for more huh, here you go." Amara shouted and fired off more web at me and this time I covered myself in hellfire and spun around like a drill heading towards her. All the web that touched me was incinerated and seeing this, she created a wall of the same metallic web to block my path. The wall actually worked and stopped me in my tracks but it was visibly melted and a few good hits away from being destroyed so that's exactly what I did. I punched the wall with all my fury packed inside of each hit and soon, the wall broke apart. I flew towards the arachnid with my seemingly bottomless fury and she looked at me with a shocked expression on her face that filled me with glee. I punched forward sure that it was going to hit and deliver the pain this bitch deserves but then, something unexpected happened.
