The sun rose above the horizon signifying the beginning of a new day and the end of a long night. City B was in ruins as every building except a lone mansion was destroyed as a result of the fearsome battle between holy and unholy creatures. But even the mansion wasn't completely spared from destruction.
"What happened here?" Synthia asked in disbelief as she looked at her lawn. Most of the lawn was charred and their were small craters in the ground, there was also a hole in the wall.
"Well atleast the mansion looks alright." She said looking at the mansions exterior, everything was just as she left it, except for the broken window.
'Fuck.' Synthia thought and ran into the mansion. As she ran through the mansion she inspected it and soon found a hole in the second floor above one of the meeting halls.
'Who the hell did this? No demon should be able to enter the [Holy Territory], only an angel or someone cultivating on the path of Enlightenment can come inside. But everyone was accounted for and non of the priests would be able to do something like this and all my saints are accounted for.' Synthia wracked her brain trying to find out what happened to her mansion while she was gone. As she did so, she soon realized she could ask the children since they were the only one's here and even if they didn't see anything they should have atleast heard something while they were underground.
She walked around and soon found that the children had reunited with their parents and those whose parents died were crying by themselves while others tried to comfort them. She walked over to one of the ones that were crying by themselves and asked her if she knew what happened while she was gone. After thirty minutes an hour if listening to her speak through her sobs and stuttering, she finally got a picture of what happened. According to the girl, there were sounds of fighting and explosions which would explain the destruction. The little girl didn't see what happened, which was understandable because if she did, she would have probably died, but the sounds of fighting gave Synthia an idea of what happened.
'So two people were fighting here and since everyone was already accounted for, including Alice, it could have only been two other persons. Colin and that imp he flew off with, but how did Colin survive long enough to actually fight inside the [Holy Territory] and how did he go through the second barrier. Something's not adding up.' She thought to herself and she knew that she had to find out herself as she was sure as hell Colin wasn't gonna tell her.

Colin POV
While this was happening, Colin and Alice flew back towards their mostly destroyed house. Alice didn't even seem worried about the building collapsing and she plopped onto the dust covered sofa. Even if our bodies healed and our DP recovered fast, she was still fighting throughout the night and I bet she is exhausted mentally and physically....and probably hungry. I myself needed some sleep as even after the evolution, I was still a bit exhausted so I sat on the floor and leaned my head on the sofa and fell a sleep.

*Groan*
I groggily opened my eyes, although my nap has been far from comfortable I was able to rest my mind for a few hours. As my mind became more lucid, I felt something akin to a mosquito on my neck which was odd since I doubt a mosquito would be able to pierce my skin when I was a Demon much less now that I have evolved. But I soon realised it was no mosquito that has bit into my neck but something much more annoying.
"Alice, what are you doing?" I asked and she lifted her head off of my and looked me in the eye with some blood still at the side of her lip.
"Goodnight, did you sleep well?" She said with a cute smile that showed her fangs.
"Couldn't you have atleast waited until I woke up?" I sighed and she simply shook her head no causing my eyelid to twitch. She then got up off my lap and wiped the blood off her lips with her thumb.
"Is it night time already?" I asked with a yawn
"Yep so let's leave already, I don't want to sleep in this place for another night." She said as she looked around at our mostly destroyed house.
"Yes I will but I need to make a stop first." I replied with another yawn.
