Soon the sun began to rise and it was time to head back to our house. We flew back quickly and now unlike before Alice was flying like a pro no longer flying awkwardly through the air. We reached our home before the sun could fully rise above the horizon saving Alice some discomfort.
"Ok then let's train your [Shadow Affinity] and [Misting] skills then you can get some rest and then I can teach you some of my traits." I said
"Wait can't I rest for a while before we start again." Alice said while panting a bit.
"No." I said simply not the least bit swayed by her apparent exhaustion.
"Can I atleast drink some blood? I'm starting to get hungry." She said pitifully.
"Fine." I said after contemplating for a while. I didn't know exactly how blood cravings of a vampire worked and so even though I wanted to train her resistance I didn't know how exactly to go about it.
"Yaay." She cheered and then started walking towards me but I stopped her.
"What are you doing?" I asked sternly.
"Trying to drink some blood." She said innocently
"There are blood bags in the fridge." I said pointing to the fridge.
"Those taste really bland to me after I became a vampire. But your blood tastes absolutely delicious." She said and I could see her eyes glowing a bit and saliva dripping from her mouth. This might be a problem.
"You're not getting my blood so you'll have to make due with blood bags." I said while looking at her with a serious expression. She glared back at me but eventually relented under my unwavering gaze. She walked over to the fridge and took out a blood bag. She drank the blood slowly and stared at me, her eyes glowing red with desire.
"Ok let's start." I said once she finished the blood bag and she just groaned.
And so for the next few hours I tested Alice's skills to their limits. I made her create all kinds of shapes using her Shadow including walls and swords although those didn't do much damage, the sword was incredibly blunt. It turned out to create complex objects like swords or a spear out of shadows, the quality of the object depended on Alice's familiarity with the object. So if she wanted to create a really sharp sword she needed to have a certain sense of familiarity with the object. Thankfully I can help her with that.
We also tested the [Misting] skill and learned a few things about it. The first is that to reform her body all the mist is needed and if a significant portion is missing she can't reform her body so she will have to be careful. The second is the most surprising, while being mist she can still hear everything around her and she can only see using aura vision. Her other senses namely smell, taste and touch is practically nonexistent although if she gets hurt she will feel it once her body is reformed. The third thing I found out is that she can't be hurt by physical attacks even when using a cursed blade which is a very powerful ability. On the other hand, she can be hurt by energy abilities like my hell flames and it causes even more damage than when she is in her physical form.
I decided to conclude all the skill testings for the day and allow her to rest. Quite honestly she looked almost as pale as an undead and doing any more tests might have a negative effect on her. She was currently drinking a blood bag and I could sense her foul mood from here I needed to do something or she might not want to train in the future.
"Hey Alice." I greeted but she didn't even look at me.
"Look I know I may have went overboard with the tests and I'm sorry." She still didn't look at me.
"To show you how sorry I am, I'll allow you to drink my blood." I said with a sigh of defeat. Alice immediately turned her head and looked at me with brightly glowing eyes. That got her attention.
"Really."
"Yes." And without any warning she lunged at me causing me to fall to the ground and I could feel her fangs pierce my neck. She continued to drink for over an hour and it made me wonder where she was storing all that blood. She eventually released me and a sigh of satisfaction then she climbed off me and her mood became way better than before.
"Feeling better?" I asked, the wound on my neck quickly closed itself.
"Yep." She answered cheerfully
Nightfall came a few hours later and Alice and I flew into the night sky once again.
"I'm not a master swordsman so I don't know everything about a sword but I should be able to teach you a few things." I said while brandishing my sword and Alice did the same.
"Ready." I asked and Alice nodded her head. I flew at her fast and swung my sword down on her and she awkwardly blocked. Needless to say she was sent flying through the skies and even crashed into a building. With a groan she climbed out and flew at me fast. I easily blocked the strike and allowed her to continue to attack.
"You are putting in too much of your power in one strike. If you do that and miss that will give your opponents a chance to strike." I said and then dodged one of her strikes and hit her gently with the flat side of my sword. She turned around and started attacking me again but I blocked them all. Then I dodged one of her strikes but when I was going to hit her with my sword again I saw her foot flying towards my face. I blocked the kick with my hand and quickly flew backwards before her blade could hit me. I couldn't help but smile when I saw this but I wasn't going to let her become arrogant because of one small victory. I flew at her fast and sent her crashing into another building.
