"The dream I always have starts in the dark. Initially, I wasn't sure if it was a dream or not. I tried to get up and find the door, but I couldn't. In this dream, I'm always seated cross-legged, just like I am now," the man said, clearing his throat with some effort. "On the first days, I wasn't sure what was happening, but then I started trying to talk. That's when I realized you were here with me. Just like now, the two of us locked in the darkness," the man said.
Alex listened, his hair shivering with each word. He was slowly realizing that what this man was describing was exactly the same dream he couldn't remember earlier that morning when he woke up in the Adventurer's Guild.
Now, it was striking him like lightning, making all the hair on his body stand on end. As the man continued, Alex matched the memories; he was there in the dark, had talked with this man, and the talk wasn't pleasant at all.
