Outside the Vovovich Carousel Cafe, Maxim, lost in his own thoughts, suddenly looked up at the big sky. He found something funny in a remark he heard earlier and it made him smile.
"Someone said the Sun and Moon turned red really fast. I could feel something strange too, and I got a message in the game I was playing earlier.
"It means that the world will be changing, and I'm sure those bloodsuckimh bastards of a race are coming to stop humans to replace their superiority," Maxim said with a smile. He chuckled loudly, and his laughter filled the air like a happy song.
"Hahahaha!
"They are fucked!"
As Maxim's laughter faded away, he noticed people looking at him with curiosity.
They seemed confused by his laughter, but he didn't pay attention to them.
He had a sly grin on his face as he said, "They don't know how powerful their puppet humans can be. When the older Bloodborne creatures can't control them anymore, they'll go crazy and hunt the younger Bloodbornes who came here to be their masters."
He spoke with excitement, as if he enjoyed the chaos that would follow.
"But I know most of them would still feel like they are above fellow humans and abuse their powers," Maxim thought, sounding determined, "and there are still many humans who will willingly serve these disgusting bloodsucking beings."
And then he would smile maniacally, "I won't let them…"
He understood why they would do that — the promise of safety and stability was tempting. But deep down, they wanted more.
Still, for him, they are like pussies.
Alright Maxim's not sure if he wanted a world where power was more balanced, where everyone's voices mattered, and where past injustices could be fixed.
He knew that it would be impossible, his goal was to only lead humans to supremacy, even in the shadows.
This would make it more exciting.
Soon, Maxim took a deep breath, knowing that he had the power to bring about change by making people aware of the hidden schemes that controlled their lives.
"For now, all I need and have to do," he pondered, "was to show others what's really going on in the dark."
He thought of different strategies, imagining a future where big wars, like the ones that had destroyed so many lives in his previous life, wouldn't happen so often.
In an instant, Maxim's demeanor changed.
He stood up straight, feeling a surge of energy.
He clenched his fist and felt a strange sensation running through him.
It was like an invisible force flowing from inside him, surrounding his body with transparent energy.
His eyes widened in amazement as he watched this magical sight.
…
Without wasting any more time, Maxim unleashed a powerful kick, hitting a metal pole nearby.
Kabang!
The impact was so strong that it dented the black metal pole, gushing with steam.
People nearby turned to look, curious about what just happened. But Maxim simply waved his hand casually, trying to downplay the impressive feat he had just accomplished.
Maxim could see invisible energy extending from his body, like ripples in a calm pond.
As this energy reached the onlookers, something strange happened.
The people, who were fascinated by Maxim before, now looked blankly into the air, as if their minds were somewhere else.
It was as if their consciousness had been taken to a different place for a moment.
With a snap of his fingers, Maxim broke the spell on the onlookers.
They blinked in confusion and went back to their normal activities, as if they didn't remember what had just happened.
"Look at me, my comrades," Maxim whispered to himself, feeling proud and amused.
"I have become enlightened again, haha!"
The words echoed in his mind, reminding him of the power he now had.
In the past, it took him a long and difficult twenty days to reach level ten and awaken his enlightened force in real life. But now, things are different.
Most players in the game Domain of Miracles had to level up ten times to awaken their enlightened force in real life. But Maxim found another way because he was an experienced fighter who had been reincarnated.
It would be too hard for other players, but not for Maxim.
Feeling content, Maxim took a moment to rest his feet and hands, breathing heavy, slow and smooth.
He knew that even if he didn't play the game for days, he would still be strong enough to defend himself against any threats for now even if the apocalypse deacends.
The tension in his body relaxed, and he felt confident. But that tranquility was quickly replaced by determination, and he clenched his fist.
"Aunty," he said sadly and determinedly. "I'll save you this time."
He couldn't forget his aunt's disappearance, which reminded him of his failure to protect the people he loved.
The reason he was the only survivor was because he had become obsessed with the game Domain of Miracles. It all started when the girl he loved, Svetlana, chose someone else to be with.
The pain of rejection broke his heart and made him seek comfort in the virtual world of the game, while the real world fell apart.
As the apocalypse raged on and the world plunged into darkness, Maxim remained strong.
He fought not only to survive but also to escape the pain in his heart and the harsh reality around him.
While others gave in to despair, he immersed himself in the game, finding purpose and power. Destruction was everywhere, but he never gave up.
But there was a price to pay.
His aunt, who had always been strong and loving, disappeared without a trace.
He didn't know what happened to her and it haunted him.
It fueled his determination to find her, even if it meant going into unknown dangers. He searched tirelessly, but all his efforts were in vain.
He was certain that she was gone, lost in the chaos of the world.
Maxim's heart was broken, for thousands of years, he couldn't even say thank you to her, he couldn't even say he's proud of her, all he did in his last life was to ignore and treat him just a housemate.
But this time would be different. Maxim's voice was filled with determination as he made a promise to himself.
"Not this time!"
His eyes showed his determination and his heart burned with the desire to protect and save. He wouldn't let his aunt become another victim of this cruel world.
With a determined look, Maxim raised his hand to signal a taxi to stop.
The noise of honking horns and people rushing around formed the background to his mission.
Bonk! Bonk! Bonk!
His gloved hand caught the attention of a yellow taxi, which screeched to a halt in front of him.
Just as he was about to open the cab's door and get in, he heard a familiar voice calling his name.
The urgency and familiarity in the voice made him freeze, his hand suspended in mid-air.
He felt a surge of recognition and memories resurfaced from the depths of his mind. He muttered to himself, barely audible amidst the city sounds.
"Yes, it was very familiar."
Curiosity overwhelmed Maxim, and he turned around, his heart pounding.
The world around him seemed to blur for a moment, as if time itself had stopped to witness this mysterious moment.
And when he saw the person standing before him, his eyes widened in disbelief, and he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"Huh?
"What you doing here?"
