Chapter 145: Finding Solace
Atasha stepped out into the rain, her heart heavy with the burden of betrayal. The raindrops fell on her like a thousand tiny daggers, each one a reminder of the pain she felt.
Failed to cast a protection, she was soaked like a wet chick. So she would just let it all fall, unbothered by the chill.
The rain washed away her tears, but it couldn't wash away the hurt.
Is fate making fun of her or helping her out?
She scoffed, sarcastically. "I vowed to make him a man, now he's a man. But I'm not happy." She reflected on how she looked like an idiot, pleasing a deceitful person once again.
Atasha felt a sense of trepidation. She walked aimlessly, her mind a whirl of thoughts and emotions. A fleeting attraction would make sense, even in her world, physical connection without love isn't strange.
