Chapter 103: Calling Them Papa
Zethus' feeble protest and slight indignance crumbled altogether upon seeing the serene expression on his wife's face as she comforted the weeping boy.
Despite his lingering doubts about the boy's mysterious origins, he rationalized that it was merely a change of title since Seven had already been living with them as their own. Perhaps this arrangement wasn't so bad after all…
"Hush now, stop crying. Look there," Atasha gently directed, pointing at Zethus who was observing them with a subtle smile. "Seven, go to Papa Zethus and greet him."
P-papa!? Zethus' smile twitched and his body flinched. Seven also scrutinized him, seemingly gauging his reaction.
"M-Mother…" Seven called out timidly while Atasha was wiping his tears with a clean piece of fabric. "Hmm?" she responded nonchalantly.
