Chapter 95: Treated as a Carrier Bird
Feeling a surge of anger and shame, Howl clenched his fists. He knew he had messed up, but he hated being lectured by a feral, let alone a snake.
Howl wanted to snap back, to defend his honor, to shift the blame. But he couldn't. He was in their debt. He owed Atasha his clansmen's lives and his sister's care.
He took a deep breath and forced himself to speak calmly. "Fine, enough with your nagging. You're right. I'm sorry. I'll take them both. Just help me get them ready. We don't have much time." Howl yielded, his face however had a natural scowl.
But who cares about his scummy expression? As long as he agreed!
Regalus nodded in satisfaction. He let go of Seven, who rubbed his cheek and sniffled resentfully. "I will give you more meat later," he whispered to appease the little kid.
