" I know we were looking for a nice place for the exploration but couldn't we have chosen something, maybe I don't know far less dusty?" Jesse complained as her nostrils were being assaulted by the multitude of dust in the surroundings.
Her, Su Jiang and Hayami where currently in one of the manors rooms trying to find out clues or at least a hint on why this place would Garner so much attention and popularity but unfortunately all they found were dust and old furniture that dated years back.
With the help of their novice daisy corp gps chips that stuck to their wrists like COMS, the trio were able to illuminate the room, pushing out the darkness within.
" Hey isn't it supposed to be dusty and old, Ghost's are always found in places like this"
" You don't see most ghosts appearing in brand new malls and jewelry shops now do you?" Su Jiang who was rummaging through an old dusty wardrobe quickly retorted, unlike Jessie he was keen on ignoring the dusty unhygienic manor, he felt that it was better to use his time appropriately like looking for clues instead of complaining over a little bit of dust like a certain someone.
" There you go again with the ghost thing, are you even sure it's even a ghost that's been causing a ruckus here in the first place, for all we know it might just be a stray animal, for crying out loud all your sources came from the internet "
" Most people nowadays on the internet like making a mountain out of a mole hill" Jesse rolled her eyes at him, her hands firmly crossed atop her chest.
" Don't you think so to Hayami?" She asked the petite yet cute girl who for some reason didn't seem as jovial and energetic as before.
Hayami's eyes seemed to lack their earlier luster as she calmly went through an old wooden cabinet located in the room.
" Huh?, what were you saying?" She responded, her lack of attention caused her to not hear what the two were even going on about earlier.
Jesse groaned a little while glaring at Hayami lightly for her lack of care but nevertheless with a helpless sigh she said " I was saying that Jiang is wrong and we might all just be wasting our time here when we should be doing something else"
" And what do you suppose we do then?, go shopping? Or no maybe a visit to the spar would've been far more better your highness?" Su Jiang said sarcastically not giving Hayami time to speak.
" You know that's not what I meant!" Jesse glared at him angrily.
" Then please tell me what do you mean!" Su Jiang replied with the same amount of frustration in his tone.
'Arrrghh this is starting to get boring..., it's not fun anymore!' Hayami grumbled inwardly.
Watching the two of them bicker with each other Hayami started missing the fact that Yūrei wasn't here even more, if he were here then things wouldn't be so boring she thought letting out a breath yet when she recalled who he was currently with she gritted her teeth unconsciously while clenching her soft palms.
' Why does she get to spend time with him instead of me~'
' it's not fair, I should be the one with Yūrei-kun instead, not her~' She grumbled inwardly while pouting, her soft cheeks emitting a rosy hue which coupled with her expression no doubt looked adorable.
"....Nya~ this is no fun.., the both of them are just arguing, I thought this was supposed to be a fun exercise but all their doing is complaining and fighting ~" She mumbled to herself.
" If Yūrei-kun was here am sure things would've been far more exciting....but his stuck somewhere with that cold and heartless woman ~"
" Not fair..."
"Not fair~!"
" Not fair..."
" Not fair...." She repeated continuously underneath her breath, the more she spoke to herself the more she felt herself getting more and more restless.
Poor girl, you should've stopped him earlier..
Now his all mine..
All mine and there's nothing you can do about it...
After this, I'll be sure to make certain that he'll only have eye's for one woman...
Me....
The thought of him alone with that girl was slowly eating her up inside, her mind was soon filled with several uncomfortable thoughts that slowly chipped away at her rationality, like a child who couldn't sleep because of a nightmare her body kept squirming around left and right till she couldn't take it anymore.
With a single thought her eyes were wide open staring silently towards the arguing Su Jiang and Jessie, yet at the moment all Hayami could think of was seeing him.
After making sure they weren't paying attention, she quietly made her way towards the door before taking one step out.
_Squelch~_
The sound of her feet landing on a liquid yet squishy substance was heard within the dark and empty corridor.
With her mind fully focused on reuniting with Shizuka, Hayami who was restless and impatient didn't pay attention towards the strange sound but instead quickly made her way down the dark and eerie corridor.
If only she'd looked back, she'd come to notice a stunning discovery, for the very thing which she'd stepped in earlier was brought to light within the illuminated room, with a thick consistency greater than that of water and it's ominous colour that served as a warning to others, anyone with a discerning eye would have been able to see that what Hayami had missed was non other than freshly spilled blood that flowed into the door opening from the dark and eerie corridor.
with each step she took a cold and chilling draft would graze her soft snow white skin causing her to shiver a little.
After taking a few steps the chilling air seemed to have gotten even more colder, with each breeze she felt as if her very bones where being grazed by the chilling draft.
Her eyes slowly regained a bit of clearity when she noticed that the inner parts of the dark corridor were like a darkened cave, no matter how much she shinned her COMS light towards it, the end couldn't be seen.
With the growing cold and seemingly endless path before her growing closer and closer, Hayami who was once restless and impatient started getting frightened.
She quickly turned backwards in hopes of returning back from whence she came but to her disbelief the path backwards looked even more dark and gloomy than the path forward.
Her eye's slowly moistened as two crystal clear tear drops slid down the sides of her face.
