The four of them looked at her at the same time. Aerine averted her gaze when she realized that she sounded too eager to see Lucian.
"Uh... I just think it's rude to make him wait," Aerine suddenly explained, even though no one was asking her.
Still, her interventions helped dispel the tension in the air that Elise and her news brought.
Elise then pretended nothing happened, or perhaps, for her, nothing really happened. She nodded and agreed with Aerine as she guided the group in the car.
It wasn't that far from where Mils' car was parked, although it was indeed in a secluded corner. The four huddled together, or it could be said that the three were scotting around Aerine.
Even the twins were silent, not daring to make a sound at all. It was confirmed that they were all afraid of Elise! Well, Aerine was all kinds of intimidated by her.
