However, she didn't want to ask or delve into this matter yet. She had the hunch that it was quite a sensitive topic since Mils and Elise didn't seem to be on good terms.
She could only wait until Mils spilled the beans herself.
After grumbling for a while, Mils calmed down slightly, approaching Aerine.
"You're back..." She smiled but was somehow stiff.
Aerine laughed and patted her back as though comforting her.
"Let's go."
With that, they took the drive to Aerine's apartment, not talking anymore about what was happening between them, whether it was Elise or Lucian. And Mils' mood gradually lifted as well once they were already inside the apartment, never mentioning Elise's name once.
